Said a tearful goodbye to this fur baby yesterday, after finding out last week she’d been hiding huge tumours within her tiny frame and never once complained. Had we not taken her the vets on a different matter, we wouldn’t have known what a sick little girl she actually was. Apparently their bodies just fight it, until they suddenly can’t anymore and it took her within a week 🥺
At least we were able to keep her at home with us, give her all the hugs and kisses she wanted, with medication that kept her as comfortable as possible - though I wish she’d hadn’t fought the last few hours so strongly 😢
Thanks to my friends, Collegues and clients for understanding I needed to be with her this last week. Glad she’s no longer suffering, but will miss so much. Gifted the 18 months with this scruffy little madam because mum and dad would have wanted her to be loved as much as they loved her …………… and she def was. RIP little one

After a difficult but precious few years supporting my parents, while dealing with a myriad of symptoms that women of my age deal with, I’ve sometimes said I’m coming back as a MAN next time! 👨🏼‍💼👨‍🔧🕺
As a woman, who could blame me! My once healthy body was systematically destroyed by poor handling of both births leading to scars, Fibro and Chronic Pain Syndrome, an aggressive hystertomy that I neither wanted or needed, hormone disruption, early menopause, depression ,osteoperosis, prolapse one and two and two failed surgeries to repair it!

But if I’m honest, I’m still happy to be a woman, proud of the daughter I was, proud of the way I’ve fought every s****y thing that has happened to me, proud of the children I’ve raised, proud of the goals Ive accomplished and those I still aim for, I’m proud of the work I do, helping men and women feel better and more confident, I’m proud of friend I’ve been and the support I’ve been able to offer other women over the years and of the teacher/mentor/manager I became.

And there’s nothing, absolutely nothing that tops the feeling of another human being’s heart beating inside your own body.
