The festive season in Wi******er always brings with it plenty of cheer and plenty of traffic!

Between the Christmas market, pantomime crowds, festive plans, and the inevitable roadworks, getting into the city takes longer than usual. With smaller roads and a one-way system to contend with, please make sure you leave extra time to arrive, get parked, and pay for parking (signal can be patchy).

We’ve already seen a surge in bookings, with some clients securing 3–4 appointments ahead. Even with six barbers and stylists on the floor, there are only so many slots to go around.

Please plan ahead and arrive on time. If you’re late, we may have to shorten your service or, in some cases, refuse the appointment.

Wi******er-born and raised, Issy left the city to study fine art and sculpture at Central Saint Martins in London. After graduating, she returned home to pursue her other lifelong ambition — hairdressing.
———

She trained under Tony Mawson at the late Mawson & Company, a well-regarded Aveda salon once at the heart of Wi******er. Her artistic background gives Issy an innate understanding of shape, balance, and form — whether she’s working on short or long hair, curls or sleek styles, natural tones or bold colour.

Away from the scissors, Issy still works on her art — these days through embroidery, crochet, and textiles. She proudly calls them her “Grandma Hobbies” and somehow finds time for gardening and cooking too.
