Having been in my freshly squeezed treatment room in for a few months now, it’s been fun meeting members, working with the trainers and helping people with their movements, pains or injury issues.
A fully rounded fitness community that values and understands the importance of a social environment.

A great space perfectly suited training! A good energy, trainers who are invested in your movement and goals, and sports massage on tap (provided by yours truly).

Even as a therapist it’s important to look after my body (there’s me getting some movement into my wrist and finger flexors after a day of treatments).
The majority of people will at some point use stretches or exercises to remedy an injury or unwanted tension in their body, but how many of us do this to maintain or improve mobility outside of that?
For many sports it’s important to get into certain positions to improve performance, so staying on top of that is key to performance longevity. Even those that don’t play sport would massively benefit from self care so that you’re able to stay active and mobile.
Why not try:
- stretching
- yoga
- sports massage
- working with a personal trainer/S&C coach
- using mobility tools such as a foam roller
You might just find the freedom of movement you were looking for.

Multiple research studies show the mental benefits of massage are just as important at the physical.
Reduced levels of cortisol have been show post treatment in multiple studies, which can mean for many people you may find :
- reduction in anxiety
- reduction in general feelings of fatigue
- Improvement in mood
Something interesting to think about in general life and when training as an athlete.

Therapy isn’t just for when you’re injured!?
All types of therapy can be used alongside any training you are doing to continually help you to improve quality of movement and reduce injury risk.
For athletes this can mean more consistent game/competition time and more consistency in your training.
If you’ve got goals you’d like to achieve through sport or fitness think about how much more you can achieve through better consistency!
Sports massage therapy is a great tool to help you reaching your goals.

Sports massage therapist and sprints coach!? An odd mix? I’ve found that a deep understanding of human movement and ability to apply therapy techniques that free your body and help improve performance of all levels is extremely effective!
As a fully qualified sports massage therapist of 4 years and a sprint coach of 7 years (and always looking further my practices and knowledge) I’ve got confidence to help anyone that needs me, on the massage table or on the track.
