🔥 PLAITING LESSONS 🔥

Would you love to be able to Plait/style your’s or your daughter’s/grandaughter’s hair?? Now you can! No more dramas of ‘bad hair day’ in the mornings!

You can book as a 1:1 or in a group with friends. Get taught by a fully qualified teacher who works in our training academy. They will support you during and after the lesson, should you require it.

The lesson can be arranged for a time that’s most convenient for you and we provide everything required, including the head! The lessons last for an hour and usually, within that time, most people will learn 2-6 different styles of plaits. The styles you can choose from are:

⏪ THROWBACK THURSDAY ⏪

Aww, one of my favourite things to do is look back at the 100s of students that have trained with us and the wonderful journey they’ve had!

Today I’m looking back and celebrating the very lovely Taylar! Taylar learned all different courses with us and did amazing with all of them!

She decided that she wanted a change; she wanted to do something for herself and set up her own business! Do you want to make that same step for yourself?

🌟 Tip Tuesday - Learning from home 🌟

Whether you’re learning entirely online or you’re completing your case studies from home, it can be difficult to stay motivated to get yourself that pass sometimes!

So here are 3 tips to help you get that pass:

🌟 Create a clean and inviting workspace that you WANT to work in! No one wants to go somewhere they don’t like, right!? Make your space as appealing as possible so you enjoy being there.

🌟 With today’s past-paced, always tuned-in normality, being able to switch off while you’re working is so important! Disconnect from notifications and give yourself & your client the time you/they deserve. Try to limit noises and perhaps play some music to keep you mindful and in the ‘here & now’.

🌟 Don’t forget self-care. Taking a break is so so important. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to pass really quickly. Instead, allow yourself the time you need and show yourself the care/love you need. Depleting your energy by just working will just make you fall out of love with training, which would be so sad!

🌟 TIP TUESDAY 🌟

Learning a new hair/beauty treatment can bring up a whole range of emotions: excitement, nerves, frustration, joy! And these emotions are all valid and all great - they mean you care!

So as your Tutor, I’m here to help in any way o can with your learning. But there are some ways you can help yourself too. So when completing your case studies:

🌟 Set time aside specifically for your case studies. You don’t want to feel rushed or be interrupted. You want to feel as relaxed as possible.

🌟 Allow yourself to take breaks if you need to. This is a new skill you’re learning and so be kind to yourself, and patient. It will take longer, and that’s okay!

🌟 Take the feedback from the Tutor on-board. I will always be kind with my feedback and I’ll pass on my knowledge and expertise to help you become the best therapist you can be. So with your next case study, incorporate these adaptations to help you pass quicker and offer your clients a better service. Know that the feedback isn’t criticism but helpful advice.

💚 Self-Care Sunday 💚

When I was full time in the hair/beauty industry, weekends were always the busiest times.

Now, I adore having weekends with my family again. It’s meant more freedom, more happiness, and more time for self-care too! But if Sunday can’t be your self-care day, etch out space in your diary that’s just for you!

How have you filled your cup this week? How have you helped to recharge your own batteries? And will you be taking time today, just for you?

It’s not selfish; it’s essential.

Without filling your own cup, you just wouldn’t have the energy to help anyone else. You’ll be far more productive once you have replenished your own energy and felt the power.

So have fun; surround yourself with loved ones; silly-dance and ugly-laugh; do absolutely nothing; just take time for YOU, doing the things you love. See the difference it makes to your mood and your energy level.
