THE RESILIENT MAN PROJECT – FREE PILOT SESSION
Healing Minds and Hearts CIC is inviting men to be part of something new in Wolverhampton.
We're running a FREE one-hour pilot session to help shape The Resilient Man Project and strengthen our grant application.
📅 Tuesday 4th August
🕑 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
📍 Wolverhampton Swimming & Leisure Centre, Bentley Bridge
If funding is approved, this pilot will grow into a weekly two-hour men's group, offering a regular space for connection, resilience, wellbeing, and personal growth.
This isn't about sitting in a circle being told to talk about your feelings.
It's about learning practical tools to stay calm under pressure, manage stress, reconnect with yourself, and develop the kind of quiet strength that helps you through everyday life.
During the session, you'll experience:
✔️ Somatic exercises to release stress and tension stored in the body.
✔️ Breathwork to improve focus, regulate the nervous system, and build resilience.
✔️ Practical tools you can use at home, at work, and in everyday life.
✔️ A supportive environment built on respect, trust, and confidentiality.
This is a place where you don't have to have all the answers.
A place where you don't have to carry everything on your own.
A place where you can simply show up as yourself.
(Men only.)
Whether you're feeling stressed, overwhelmed, disconnected, or you're simply looking to become a stronger, calmer version of yourself, we'd love to welcome you.
🎟️ Book your FREE ticket here:

Spaces are limited, so book early and help us demonstrate the need for this project in our community.
Because resilience isn't about never struggling—it's about learning how to rise again.
Celebrating Me
Reflection 1: My Celebration Timeline
Take a moment to create a timeline of your life.
List the moments, experiences, achievements, and milestones that deserved to be celebrated.
These could include:
- Birthdays
- School achievements
- Qualifications or training completed
- New jobs or promotions
- Starting a business
- Relationships
- Becoming a parent
- Holidays and adventures
- Personal breakthroughs
- Challenges you overcame
- Times you were brave
- Moments that changed your life
Big or small, write them down.
What moments in your life deserved celebration?
---
---
---
---
---
Reflection 2: Were They Celebrated?
Look back over your timeline.
For each moment, ask yourself:
- Was this acknowledged by others?
- Did I allow myself to celebrate it?
- Did I quickly move on to the next thing?
- Did I minimise what I had achieved?
Notice any moments that were overlooked, dismissed, or never truly celebrated.
Which moments deserved more recognition, appreciation, or celebration than they received?
---
---
---
Reflection 3: What Do I Need Today?
Choose one moment from your timeline that still feels unseen.
Close your eyes and imagine giving that version of yourself the celebration they deserved.
What would you say to them?
What would they need to hear?
How would it feel to fully acknowledge them today?
Complete this sentence:
Today, I celebrate myself for...
---
---
---
---
Remember:
You do not need to earn celebration.
You do not need to prove your worth.
Your journey, your courage, your growth, and your existence are all worthy of being honoured.
Today, choose to celebrate yourself.

Happy Father’s Day 💙
Today, I want to honour the men who carry more than they ever speak about.
The fathers who stay strong when they feel like falling apart.
The fathers who work long hours, carry the pressure of providing, protect their families, and quietly put everyone else’s needs before their own.
The fathers who have experienced loss, heartbreak, disappointment, fear, and grief, yet still get up every morning and keep going.
The fathers who were never taught how to talk about their emotions, but love deeply through their actions.
The fathers who show up.
The fathers who are healing wounds nobody can see.
The fathers who are trying to be the dad they never had.
The fathers who are navigating separation, co-parenting, financial stress, or the weight of responsibility while carrying a smile for their children.
As someone who works with healing, I see something that isn’t spoken about enough:
Many men are carrying years of unprocessed emotions beneath the surface. Pain they were told to “get over.” Tears they were taught to hide. Dreams they quietly sacrificed for the people they love.
Strength is not the absence of emotion.
Strength is carrying the weight and still choosing love.
Strength is showing up when life feels heavy.
Strength is being willing to heal.
So today, let’s celebrate not just what fathers do, but who they are.
The protectors.
The providers.
The teachers.
The role models.
The men learning, growing, healing, and doing their best with what they know.
To every dad, stepdad, grandad, father figure, and man who has loved, guided, protected, and cared for others:
We see you.
We appreciate you.
And you don’t always have to carry it all alone.
Happy Father’s Day. 💙
Take a moment today to thank a father who has made a difference in your life. Sometimes the words they need to hear most are simply:
“I’m proud of you. Thank you for everything you’ve done.” ✨
Do you want to know what somatic trauma release exercise with breathwork can do for you? Then read below. A honest review from a lovely lady. Thank you so much ☺️
Hello Edit,
I hope you are well.
I was hoping to add review on your page but I could not see where. I’ve written it for you so you can add on my behalf:
I was extremely new and open to the somatic therapy Edit delivers and attended with an open mind and zero expectation.
The session was comprised with so much empathy, love, compassion and empowerment.
Edit’s delivery touched my soul and this allowed for me to experience a release that was simply incredible.
Counselling, uses verbal communication but for along time I knew it was not effective for me as I needed something physical as my body became a “trauma sponge” meaning I became numb and would shut down to issues and repeat similar patterns of behaviour and hold pain which became widespread. Such as Fibromyalgia, Fatigue, IBS, Anxiety and Depression. I was slowly losing me.
Having attended few sessions I have experienced and noticed profound inner work changes that for me are remarkable. To mention only a few, it has brought me peace, realisation of self worth, understanding and loving myself. My thoughts process have reconfigured as it reset and retuned and my emotions and my engagement with others significantly improved.
This therapy brings so much clarity to myself and hits places within me that I thought were lifeless. I have found a renewed connection with myself.
Thank you so much Edit, it’s a pleasure to be part of your journey which is now helping me tailor my journey and perspective. ❤️
