Saturday June 11th is Global Wellness Day, a social project dedicated to living well. The aims are to get us all to slow down for a day and create healthy habits for a lifetime. The 7 steps of the Wellness Day Manifesto are: walk for an hour, drink more water, do not use plastic bottles, eat organic food, do a good deed, have a family dinner and get to sleep by 10.00pm. I'm starting with the water and plastic bottles; how about you?

6th-12th June is Feel Better Week and we are raising money for Look Good Feel Better, the charity dedicated to improving the self-esteem, confidence and well-being of people undergoing treatment for any sort of cancer. LGFB aim to improve self-esteem and appearance through free group and self-help skincare and make-up workshops that create a sense of support, confidence and well-being.

Had a fun session yesterday afternoon with the lovely volunteers who work with the Dementia and Frail Older Persons Team at Yeovil Hospital, taking them through nail care techniques so that they can provide hand and arm massages and nail care for the patients they work with. Very excited to be taking part in this new project!
