💋💋I get asked a lot about bruising and swelling especially in relation to lip filler.💋💋

“Will I bruise?”
“I don’t normally swell or bruise”
“I didn’t think I’d bruise!” Etc

In truth though the answer is very probably YES!

💉💉If you are having lip filler you are being injected into one of the most vascular parts of the face multiple times, with a very sharp needle! If you go to an advanced practitioner who practices advanced techniques these are also even more invasive (but create better shapes with less filler migration). So the likeliness of bruising and swelling is high.💉💉

🩺🩹Some people may have both, one or neither. Some people bruise a little, some people bruise a lot! Some people don’t swell at all, some people swell after the first injection point! This will also change everytime you have it done, depending on numerous internal and external factors!🩺🩹

🚫Swelling and bruising are not complications of filler they are expectations...if you don’t it’s a bonus!🚫

🚑As a practitioner if I know a client is going to bruise or swell I will provide lip ice packs/pots of arnica/anti-histamines etc and I also give aftercare advice of does and don’ts after filler to every client. 🚑
