Close to me as siblings
Closer than a friend
We have a love between us
One that will never end

We’ve been through so much
Bad times and the good
I miss the closeness of before
Living in the same neighbourhood

Time and distance cannot change
The way I feel about you
The distance only reminds me
Of all that we’ve been through

Times of fun and laughter
And many times of pain
Getting in trouble together
We could be quite insane

But never forget the fact
That I’ll always love you
We need to schedule visits
Yes that’s what we will do

We’ll laugh and cry together
And tell stories of our pains
And you’ll realise my love for you
Is one that has never changed

Five years ago
She's coming to see me and I can not wait.
So much to catch up on
We'll sit up till late.

Perfectly Imperfect

Im not a fashionista
I’m not a size eight
I’m not just the way I look
I’m not a graduate

I’m not the victim nor the saviour
I’m not without mistakes
I’m not always sociable
I’m not my heartaches

I am an over thinker
I am very sensitive
I am working on these defects
I am appreciative

I am calm and I am patient
I am a loyal friend
I am empathetic and kind
I am making amends

I am filled with love for my family
I am grateful and I am blessed
I am feeling all my feelings
I am dealing with my stress

I am just who I show I am
I am an example of integrity
I’m perfectly imperfect
And that’s why I love me
