Bar Bar Jay Sports Bar is in the final stages of a full refurbishment and we’re getting ready to relaunch with a strong team in place. We’re back under our original management, bringing a sports-focused atmosphere with a daytime café vibe and lively evening bar service. Our goal is to build a welcoming local community hub where people can enjoy great coffee, great drinks, and all the big games.

Available Positions:
Morning Café Assistant / Barista: Lead the morning café service by making great coffees (including filter), prepping/ serving light bites, and keeping things running smoothly.

Shift Hours: Tuesday - Friday: 6am - 10am - Saturday: 7am- 10am

Daytime Front of House / Reception (Café + Barbershop): Be the first friendly face in the venue-greeting café and barbershop customers, managing walk-ins/bookings, taking orders, and keeping the daytime space organised and welcoming for all.

Shift Hours: Tuesday - Friday: 10am - 6pm - Saturday: 10am - 7pm

Senior Evening Bar Staff: Take control of the bar during evening service, lead the team through busy sports-led nights, keep service running fast and smooth, and make sure standards, atmosphere and customer experience are spot on.

Shift Hours: Tuesday - Thursday : 6pm - 11pm Friday & Saturday: 6pm - 1am

Weekend Bar Staff: Thrive in busy weekend service, supporting big games, peak crowds, and fast-paced shifts while keeping service friendly and on point.

Liberation day! It was an incredible day. The energy in town was electric, the atmosphere was full of pride, and the parade, drone show and fireworks were absolutely unforgettable. You could feel how much work had gone into making it all happen - and we’re so proud to support that. 🎇

This year, we decided to open the shop on Liberation Day - not just for haircuts, but to give back to the community that’s given us so much.

We donated 100% of the day’s takings - a total of £800 - to the Liberation Day Events charity, to help ensure the celebrations and respect continue for years to come.

Liberation Day is about more than celebration. It’s about remembrance. We honour the resilience and sacrifices made by the people of Guernsey, and we deeply respect those still with us who lived through the Occupation. Including Coralie's family members who have powerful selfless stories.

Guernsey means a lot to us. So does our community. Thank you to everyone who booked in, supported us, and made this possible. 😍
