Scent of Africa proudly unveils two new additions to the award-winning Eternal Legends Collection: ANANCY and ASSAYE — two fragrances inspired by the richness of Akan mythology and African storytelling.

First revealed at the Glitz Africa Women’s CEO Summit and Woman of the Year Honours 2026 at the Kempinski Hotel, Accra, the fragrances were later released in-store in partnership with Scentopia at Accra Mall.

ANANCY pays tribute to the legendary spider storyteller celebrated in Ghanaian folklore — a spicy woody fragrance crafted with notes of cardamom, bergamot, sandalwood, vetiver, frankincense, and vanilla.

ASSAYE honours Asaase Yaa, the Akan Earth goddess of fertility and nurture — a floral oriental musky fragrance blending apple, Madagascan vanilla, cinnamon, orange blossom, jasmine, cedar, and musk.

Together, the fragrances embody the dual forces of creativity and nurture, roots and reinvention — values deeply embedded in the philosophy of Scent of Africa.

The launch experience brought the mythology behind both fragrances to life through immersive storytelling, theatrical performance, personalised engraving experiences, and a warm celebration of African craftsmanship and luxury.

“As a brand, our mission is not simply to use Africa as inspiration, but to affirm Africa as the origin of excellence.” — Ayla Tissot, Representative of Scent of Africa

The Eternal Legends Collection, launched in 2022, continues to celebrate African myths, heritage, and artistry through world-class perfumery and design.
