SKINCARE ROUTINE : HOW TO CORRECTLY LAYER YOUR SKINCARE PRODUCTS.

1. CLEANSE: The first step of every skincare routine should be to cleanse the skin and prepare it for the products that will help rejuvenate and protect it.

2. Exforliate: A gentle physical exfoliation using our face and body scrub will remove dead skin cells and prep your skin for the next step. (It should be done at most twice a week)

3. Toner: Using a toner helps to balance the skin's pH

4. Serum: Serums in skincare is like the star of the show. They do they actual job. Like clearing of dark spot, sunburn or treatment of some skin problems. Choose a suitable serum according to your skin needs.

5. Moisturizer: A good moisturizer will enhance performance of serums and give the skin the much needed hydration. Note: All face creams and body lotions are moisturizers.

6. Facial oil: (optional) If you choose to use facial oil, you can apply it after applying your moisturizer to lock in moisture. Note: it's advisable to use oils in the evening to avoid blocking your pores and break outs.

7. Sunscreen: Sunscreen is the most important skincare product in a day routine. It helps protect your skin against the harmful UV rays from the sun. It should be the last skincare product you apply before using your make up.

NOTE:
1. To avoid/ reduce irritation, it is advisable to introduce new skincare products gradually. Avoid using a lot of products at the same time especially if they're new products to the skin.

2. If you have a sensitive skin, always (patch test) new skincare products on the thighs or back of the neck for three days to make sure your skin accepts the products before applying to your face or other parts of your body.
Alternately, use new products with one day intervals (one day on, one day off) during the first week before gradually vamping up.
