** Just because your friend gets BIAB… doesn’t mean you should 👀💅**
I see this all the time — “My friend gets BIAB and hers lasts 4 weeks, so I want that too!” But nail services are not one-size-fits-all ✨
What works beautifully for one person may not be the best option for another, and here’s why:
🖤 Lifestyle matters
Do you work with your hands? Clean a lot? Swim regularly? Pick at your nails? Your daily habits make a huge difference in how a product wears.
🖤 Natural nail condition
Thin, flexible, damaged, peeling, strong, naturally oily… every nail plate is different. BIAB works amazingly for many clients, but not every nail type will respond the same way.
🖤 Length & expectations
If you want long nails but your natural nails struggle with strength, BIAB alone may not give you the durability you’re expecting.
🖤 Application isn’t the only factor
Even the most perfectly applied set can struggle if the product isn’t suited to your nails or lifestyle.
🖤 Retention varies from person to person
Your friend getting 4+ weeks doesn’t mean you will — and that doesn’t automatically mean anything was “done wrong.”
As nail professionals, our job isn’t just to give you what’s trending — it’s to recommend what’s actually best for your nails 💗

🥚 Eggs help develop an incredibly delicate touch and control with the e-file — teaching students how to work precisely without causing damage.
🥝 Kiwis are perfect for practising e-file pressure and understanding how quickly over-filing can happen if control isn’t there.
🍊 Oranges are amazing for building confidence with cuticle nipper control, helping students learn the correct grip, angles, and precision needed before moving onto real cuticle work.
This is all about creating safe, confident, skilled nail techs — because nobody should be learning these techniques for the first time on a paying client 🙌🏼✨
By the time my students move onto live models, they already have a much better understanding of control, confidence, and salon-safe technique 💅🏼💕
