💔 True Story

Your lashes deserve the best care! Picking and pulling at your lash extensions not only damages the extensions themselves but can also harm your natural lashes, leading to thinning and breakage. Remember, without healthy lashes, we can’t apply extensions or perform lash lifts.

This happened with a new client who used to wear those magnetic falsies we see online. Because they glue to multiple lashes at the same time, they ripped out a significant chunk of her natural lashes. 😩

This isn’t a hate post about her lashes; I just think they could be even better and more harmonious. I totally get that she loves her lashes extra dramatic, but there are options that can give that wow factor without sacrificing balance.

👀 Her eyes are slightly downturned, so cat-eye styles (longer at the ends) might actually emphasize that and make them look droopy. I believe a squirrel or kitten mapping would be better, as they still elongate the eyes but get shorter at the ends, avoiding the issues a cat-eye could bring.

I came up with two options (I accidentally deleted her eyelids in Photoshop, oops! 🥲). One is a chunky wispy set for a bold, personality-filled look, and the other is a lighter wet set if she wants to try the more “clean girl aesthetic.” I would also change it to a softer curl like C, instead of (apparently) D or DD.

She looks beautiful with or without lashes, but let me know in the comments which option you prefer and whose lashes I should analyze next! 🤎

🎂 Two days ago marked the official five-year anniversary of my brand. Just five years and two days ago, I welcomed my very first paying client - not my mom, not my friend, and not my sister-in-law.
As I revisited old photos, I was reminded of some clients who still come to me today. Some have left Hong Kong, while others have gotten married, had babies, or moved to different cities. Occasionally, I get to see them again when they come visit.

So much has changed in these five years. I’ve worked from home, moved to a tiny tiiny studio room, then to a larger space that I loved—until the building was closed down and demolished. Now, I’m located inside a spa.
Words can’t express how grateful I am for all your support over the years, so I want to give back some of that love.
