I did a quick drawing of this gorgeous orchid, which got before Chinese new year. It just blooms so beautifully that’s why I thought that I needed to draw this💛
This time I limited myself only using 6 colours, just based on my observation on this bloom.

Can’t wait to edit the video and showing something new to you!

It’s almost the end of January 2024, and I’m feeling super motivated now right after our baby moon trip to Chiang Mai. Yes, We’re pregnant. I am carrying a second baby, and the due date gonna be this MAY 2024! How excited!!

I wish you all have a wonderful start of this year, set yourself some goals that challenge yourself. New year resolutions seems too demanding to me, because I found that it’s unrealistic to succeed by the year end. So, what about we just make simple goals that can be done easily and that will have quick results?

Well, for me… I’d like to create more contents this year, I may want to build a YouTube channel documenting my painting process, what do you think?

花環上年設計完並沒有正式推出，只送了給網友。今年我調整了印刷色彩和用紙，令整體效果更滿意。 我的設計大部分以水彩為素材，我會想像每款設計的圖案都能為空間創造不同的vibes，創造你想有的藝術空間。

It took me a little while to finish this painting, I started it with finding this blooming pink peony at Flower Market. It bloomed very beautifully at the first moment when I saw her, so I knew that I’ll have to capture this live moment immediately.

My first thing to do was just sketching and colouring it at this critical moment, and didn’t plan of the rest of the drawing. It’s hard, because it’s usually easier for me when it’s all sketch out.

Well, now you can see how it turns out after I carefully think about what I want to present this time !

Recently, I join the drawing class every week, because I feel like I didn’t practice the foundation of watercolour enough. Also, I’d like to learn drawing portraits.

The class is small but cozy, my teacher is pretty nice and easy to follow with.

Here is the first outcome after 3 classes 🫶🏻

【 Anemone 銀蓮花 】

❝ Enjoy the moment and capture the best quality of light on the flowers. ❞
After my research , Claude Monet also has a painting : Still life with Anemone , completed in 1885. It featured a few different colours of anemones there.

The white and black center anemone has another name : Black Eyed Beauty ,which perfectly describes the dramatic feature of this popular flower, and give another level of character to this.

Life is full of unexpected things when you try to plan everything out, or should we just live in the present moment?
Perhaps the things we never saw coming often take us to the places we never imagined we could go.

It took me a while to finish this piece just because I’m stuck in some issue. Drawing this Cosmos and wild strawberries combo makes me feel good :)
And I always believe drawing is the best meditation tool for me.
