I’m Jean, the soap maker.

I’ve always been a soap addict, but my soaping journey was not started until fifteen years ago.

I lived all my childhood & pr***en years with my grandma who played a really special role in bringing me up. One of my fondest memories about her was she loved to collect things including soaps. Remember these old soap brands? Yardley, Camay, Palmolive, Maja, Pears (My grandma used to bathe me with it!). Her drawers were full of them and as a kid I constantly explored these treasure chests, marveling their unique shapes, scents & gorgeous packaging.

Soaping was essentially my personal means to preserve her loving memories. My first time was months after she passed on.

I made my first cold process soap with minimum soaping tools, after gathering some online instructions. It took forever to reach trace with no stick blender😅 and I was certain the batch would fail. But instead, it miraculously turned out alright! Even better, my attempt also opened my eyes into new things: (1) I loved the feelings of creating & formulating soaps tailored to individual needs, and (2) I had full control over the ingredients in my soap and a choice to steer clear of unhealthy chemicals.

I’ve been making handmade soaps ever since. is my labor of love and little tribute to the special woman in my life. Hopefully I make my Oma proud.
