A LOT of people still think:
UGC Creator = Influencer ๐ฅฒ
Padahal sebenarnya, they do VERY different jobs.
The most fundamental difference is:
AUDIENCE DISTRIBUTION vs. CONTENT PRODUCTION.
Influencers are usually hired because they already have:
โข audience trust
โข reach
โข influence
Meanwhile, UGC creators are usually hired because they can:
โข create relatable content
โข understand ad-style storytelling
โข make content that feels native to social media
The value is different:
influencer โ audience
UGC creator โ content
And honestly?
This misunderstanding is also why many creator-brand collaborations become messy ๐
Because expectations become unclear:
โIs posting included?โ
โCan the brand run paid ads?โ
โAre usage rights included?โ
Interestingly, one creator can actually be BOTH.
But those are still different deliverables ๐
Iโve been talking about this topic for years, and I still think many creators AND brands are still learning the difference.
๐ก what do you think people still misunderstand most about UGC today?

Lately Iโve been thinking a lot about trust online.
Two creators can talk about the exact same app, product, or opportunityโฆ
and still attract completely different reactions from audiences.
And honestly, I donโt think itโs only about the product itself.
I think itโs also about:
โจ tone
โจ positioning
โจ audience expectations
โจ and the kind of trust you build over time
Iโm not saying going viral is bad.
But personally, when you choose to put yourself out there as a creator, I think thereโs also responsibility in what you create and how you communicate online.
Especially if you want to build:
not just viewsโฆ
but sustainable business, audience trust, and community too.
Thatโs something Iโve been reflecting on a lot lately as both a marketer and creator.

Answering this question from the other platform.. but then I think it becomes more interesting now because the creator industry itself is evolving (which I think it is ALREADY have).
Traditionally, UGC or user-generated content is content created organically by real users/customers (not a creator like us lol). But lately, more marketers have started separating UGC vs CGC.
Technically, paid creator collabs and organic customer posts are different things (like, literally different, no?) and as someone who has worked on both sides, I actually understand why this conversation is happening.
At the same time, realistically, most creators, brands, and even platforms still use โUGCโ as the mainstream umbrella term. Which honestly shows how fast the creator economy is evolving like right now!
I am curious tho, do you think paid creator content still be called UGC?

Barter collab sebenarnya bukan masalah.
Yang sering jadi masalah adalah:
ekspektasi yang nggak pernah dibahas dari awal ๐
Di dunia UGC & creator marketing, ada beda antara:
โ๏ธ bikin konten
โ๏ธ posting konten
โ๏ธ hak penggunaan konten
Dan jujurโฆ
di Indonesia, banyak collab masih berjalan super informal.
Kadang brand mikir:
โKan udah barter.โ
Kadang creator mikir:
โKonten dipakai buat marketing berarti ada usage fee.โ
Padahal dua-duanya valid dari perspektif masing-masing.
Makanya industri ini masih butuh edukasi soal:
๐ก Licensing
๐ก Usage rights
๐ก Professional workflow
Karena UGC creators bukan cuma bikin video. Kita bikin creative assets untuk marketing.
Kalau menurut kalian, repost barter collab itu wajar atau tetap harus ada izin tambahan? (terlepas dari brand-nya uda minta maaf nih...)

Fakta Menarik! โ๏ธ
Penyebab cuaca panas yang terjadi di Indonesia pada tahun 2023 disebabkan oleh adanya gerak semu matahari yang terjadi setiap tahun. Gerak semu matahari ini menyebabkan terjadinya lonjakan panas di wilayah sub-kontinen Asia Selatan, kawasan Indochina, dan Asia Timur.
Kalo orang Jawa bilang "Sumuk, cah!"
Biasanya nyeduh es teh enak pas cuaca panas, apalagi es tehnya dari Esteh Indonesia ๐
Nah, kalo pada mau order es teh, jangan lupa siapin diffuser sama 4 oil ini. Jadi sambil nyruput es teh, sambil menikmati sejuknya dunia ini di tengah panasnya cuaca yang kadang ngajak berantem!
