Girls… I have been busy the last few days putting this carousel together. 😅
Anyone who knows me knows I’m not exactly the most tech savvy person, so this took me far longer than I’d like to admit!
Every product featured is either in my personal makeup bag or my professional kit. Some of these I’ve used for years, and I’d even go as far as saying a few perform better than their high end alternatives.
With the cost of everything these days, we’re all trying to save a few euro where we can. So I thought I’d put together some of my favourite high end products alongside some brilliant high street alternatives that might save you a bit of money on your next shopping trip.

Girls, let’s talk BB creams…
I’ve tried quite a few over the years, and my bank account can definitely vouch for that! So I thought I’d put together a few that I’ve personally used, loved or researched.
These aren’t me saying they’re the best BB creams out there. They’re simply a few that I think are worth looking at, whether you’re after something more affordable or happy to spend a little more.
My personal favourite has to be Colorescience Face Shield Flex SPF 50. It’s definitely the most expensive one on the list, but I genuinely think it’s worth every cent. I love the skin like finish, the SPF 50 and how naturally it sits on the skin. If it’s within your budget, I’d definitely have a look at it. It’s available online in both the UK and Ireland.
I also wanted to include some brilliant options at different price points because everyone’s skin is different, everyone’s budget is different and what works for me might not end up being your favourite.
At the end of the day, makeup is so personal. These are just a few BB creams that have really stood out to me over the years.

Isn’t she fab 🥰
Off to a wedding in Killarney looking gorgeous. And those lashes? All her own! No falsies needed 😍
Rosa was heading off to see Garth Brooks in Hyde Park. She wanted makeup that wasn’t too heavy. No lashes, no lipstick, just fresh, glowy makeup that would last in London’s 30+ degree heat and the ridiculous humidity we’ve had.
We kept her skin looking like skin, added a little sparkle to the eyes, skipped the false lashes, used just mascara and finished with a clear gloss instead of lipstick. Nothing over the top, just fresh, lightweight glam.

Anyone else hate hearing the sound of their own voice back 🥴 cringing at this voice over! But thought this might come in handy for anyone trying to cover a pimple, a scar or, in my case, a burn. If it’s leaning on the red side, green colour corrector is your friend
Green is great for redness, yellow helps neutralise purple tones, and peach or orange work really well on blue or grey tones like under eye darkness. It’s about choosing the right colour for what you’re trying to neutralise.
