➡️ Bodyweight Triceps extensions or Bodyweight Triceps Skull Crusher⬅️
Whatever you call them, they are absolute 🔥at the end of an upper body push day.
They also serve as a good anti-extension exercise for the core. There are multiple ways you can perform these.

➡️ TRX Straps
➡️ Rings
➡️ Incline bench
➡️ Smyth Machine

We like using the bar in the rack as you can see performed here by . We also like to utilise mechanical drop sets by increasing or decreasing the height of the bar in the rack changes the leverage making it harder or easier to get your reps out.

🔵 Brace core and squeeze quadriceps.
🔵 Elbows close and bend as much as possible.
🔵 Lower under the bar (all the way).
🔵 Press fast and lock elbows out at the top.

Give these a go on your next gym visit and let us know how you get on 🙌💪

It's a game changing moment.

You become that person who simply 'does gym' and trains for optimal health and specific performance goals. It becomes a part of who you are and makes you hungry for what more you can achieve in the future...

If your coach and your gym can help you get there, you're winning in life.

🌟 2021 is YOUR year 🌟

Personalise, prioritise and plan your 2021 health and fitness.
Personal fitness is a fitness program prescribed for what you need and you only.
We believe in building, not just individual programs but individual systems for our clients to help them efficiently reach there health and fitness goals while educating them on how to manage stresses, change bad habits, play the long game (delayed gratitude), and implementing daily habits to help improve mindset.
Its not the 3 or 4 big things you do a week that is going to get you close to your fitness goals like going to the gym 🤔 (most personal trainers phones screens are now broken from reading our last sentence 🤣).
But let's be honest, if you miss a week in the gym but still take control over the things you have control over like.

➡️ Controlling your NEAT
➡️ 7-8 hours sleep a night
➡️ calorie deficit
➡️ 2-3 litres of water
➡️ 5-10 mins of mindfulness.
If were still hitting these things a day along with some other tips from us, do you not see how you can still be successful, everything after is a bonus.
Let us help build systems for you to be successful, let's us put the confusion and clowning of social media advice to bed, let us make things really easy for you so you can finally have the outcome you deserve.

🌟 Look Beyond the barbell for progress 🌟
Progress isn't always about going, heavier, harder and faster for the majority of the population.
Progress to us is found through doing things that get you closer and align with your goal on a daily/consistent basis.
Progress is going to look different for everyone, for some it could be to have more energy during the working day, try new food sources, be less stressed throughout the day.

What does progress mean to you??

Ready ➡️ Set ➡️ Go

With the sumo deadlift being a slightly more beginner friendly variation due to the wider stance and narrower arm positions this exercise has become a staple in our programming here at PrimalX Fitness
Down to the placement and position of the knee/hip the sumo deadlift targets more glutes and quads.
Here we have Damo Kelly preparing to hit a set of 5, you can always count on heavy lifting and serious CRAIC when Damo is in the house. 🏠

4 Simple Ways to Improve Your Health

Simple things done consistently = Big long term benefits. ✅

Hands up if you are excited to be back to the gym. 🙌 💪😊
Today all our clients will go through some base line testing. The reason we have assessment protocols implemented into our training systems is because assessments are a great way to:
➡️ help determine general health and wellbeing
➡️ measure the current fitness levels of the individual
➡️ help track the progress of the members after training cycles
➡️ assess fitness readiness for sporting event or for work (military, firemen, police etc)
There are many more reasons why you should be getting regular assessments.
Now this is done it's time to meet with the clients to reassess their goals in order to program for what they NEED and what they WANT as efficiently and effectively as possible.

The trap bar deadlift, a staple exercise in our programs here at PrimalX Fitness.

Effective in optimising the lower body strength and efficiency this deadlift variation is also a little easier on the lumber spine minimising lumbar spine hyperextension.

Demonstrated here by Michael McCutcheon, a real character and very talented endurance athlete who loves a challenge.

Always positive, focused and encouraging- we love having you board Mike! 👍

Here we have the lovely Lorraine performing the dual kettlebell front squat.

Lorraine is a leader in our 9.30am session and faces everything with a positive mindset.

One of our favourite squat progressions here performed to perfection:

🔥 elbows forward, reach, brace core

🔥 whole foot stays in contact with the floor as you squat, continue to reach

🔥go to a depth which is comfortable for you, drive back up to the starting position.

Tag a friend who needs to try these👌⬇️🗣
