No matter the skin type, it's best to apply makeup after cleansing. If the model's skin is dry, either a moisturising cleanser, a gentle layer of cream, or hyaluronic acid will help receive the makeup better. Oily skin generally works better with a gel cleanser or one that will get rid of the excess oils.

If possible, an alcohol free tonic can be used after cleansing to remove any bit of makeup or sweat, etc off the skin for a smoother makeup application. Then you can proceed to use your favourite products including primers before doing the makeup look.

In order for a shoot or film to run smoothly, there needs to be a chain of command that everyone will follow, especially during COVID-19. Hierarchy is not about power, but it is about professionals knowing their role on set and executing it on time, with confidence, and with high-quality so nothing needs to be done twice. Most airbrush makeup are silicone based. So if you are constantly doing work that requires endurance to sweat or water, this could be a good option for you. As well as this, some of the benefits are precision, high coverage and it won't transfer to clothing!! If you're only starting, you probably won't need to make such a big investment in equipment yet, but as you figure out the kind of work you have been doing, it might make your life easier.
