O ato de cuidar-se funciona como um sinalizador para o cérebro dizendo que "eu sou importante". Isso reduz o cortisol (hormônio do estresse).

When we see someone or something we consider beautiful, the brain's reward center the (orbitofrontal córtex) is activated, releasing dopamine. This is why we feel a sense of immediate pleasure. The act of self-care functions as a signal to the brain that "I am important," which in turn reduces cortisol (the stress hormone).

In February 2025 Shey Waxing was born.
I started by offering only waxing services, but as the business grew I decided to provide even more to my clients. That’s when I chose to rename my space to Shey Waxing & Beauty, now offering hair and nail services, as well as foot spa treatments.

And today after a year of hard work and dedication I received this quality seal.
It’s something that doesn't have a financial price tag, but carries an extraordinary symbolic value for me—because only I know the journey it took to get Here.

My first and foremost thanks go to God, for it was He who empowered and blessed me to reach this point.
Secondly, I want to thank each of my clients who believe in and trust my work, and who treat me with such kindness and respect. You are the ones truly responsible for this achievement.

Thirdly, I thank myself for not giving up and for pushing forward, especially during the difficult times.
And fourthly, but no less importantly, I want to thank who is responsible for the IT and technical side of my professional profile, without your support and help I wouldn’t have been able to do it.

Eu amo o meu trabalho 🥰.
Pra quem não me conhece, muito prazer, eu sou a Sheila 😊.
Quero contar pra você um pouco da minha história.
Sou brasileira e tenho muito orgulho de onde eu vim e da minha ancestralidade.
Por quase vinte anos trabalhei na área da saúde, eu tinha um bom cargo, um bom salário, mas a maternidade bateu na minha porta me trazendo outras prioridades. Então, decidi abrir mão da CLT e me tornar uma mulher empreendedora. Naquele momento era a melhor escolha para que eu pudesse ficar mais perto do meu filho e acompanhar seu crescimento. Meu filho sempre será a minha melhor escolha.
Como eu mesma já fazia meu cabelo e minhas unhas, fui buscar a profissionalização e em 2012 me formei pelo Instituto Embelleze e me especializei em cabelos afros e cacheados.
Improvisei meu salão de beleza na garagem da minha casa e aos poucos fui construindo o meu salão, do jeitinho que eu queria.
Durante a pandemia, infelizmente vi muitos colegas de profissão fecharem as portas, mas eu sobrevivi e segui em frente.
Mas como o ser humano é um ser inquieto por natureza, resolvi realizar um outro grande sonho, me tornar psicóloga. Comecei os estudos e em 2022 decidi encerrar as atividades do meu salão.
Naquele momento eu precisava fazer uma escolha, eu não estava mais conseguindo conciliar tudo. Segui então com meu estudos.
Mas, como a vida é uma roda gigante em movimento, há dois anos vim para na Irlanda, passei por uma adaptação bem difícil, mas depois de alguns meses reencontrei a minha antiga profissão e seguimos de mãos dadas com a missão de evidenciar a beleza dos meus clientes.
Resiliência, essa é a palavra, e segundo a Psicologia Positiva, a resiliência é um dos segredos para a felicidade.
Eu sou feliz na minha profissão.
