A trip to Kenmare feels like a holiday for us and not just because of the warm welcome the guys down there in Quills Woollen Market give us every time we call...

Kenmare is one of the nicest places to holiday at any time of the year and a relaxed wander through Quills will scratch that 'retail therapy itch' nicely whilst you're there.

Not alone do they cater for visitors from overseas - there is a really FAB range of modern ladies & menswear upstairs which I had a nice little browse through.... Take a look for yourself next time you're down that way. (Note to self: allow more time next visit 😊)

And the winners of our 'Guess the stockist' location is indeed ...... KENMARE.

Getting the picture with this unsuspecting (but very co-operative) donkey was mighty fun 😊.

Step inside & be warmly greeted with that gorgeous familiar Kerry lilt. Run your hands over the mound of soft woollens.. Smile at the signs with their witty Irish sayings... all the while, humming along to those comforting celtic tunes we all know and love...

With their customer clearly to the fore, this family run business is a pure joy to work with & we're delighted that Rose & Alice handcrafted soaps nestles so nicely amongst their gift range.

Maguires on Tara is one of our new stockists & boy oh boy... do we love our visits here!

Imagine a great cafe with a cool gift shop that has the actual historic Hill of Tara (& sweeping views of the surrounding countryside) as its back garden 😉..

If you find yourself on the N3 - make this your pitstop (bet you check your watch awhile later only to realise you've been there a couple of hours). That's when you know the magic of Tara and the delights of Maguires there, has indeed cast its magic spell on you 🌻
