🧙♀️✨ A little break from bath bombs and soaps this week! ✨
Darcie's homework was to create a hat, and she decided she wanted a Harry Potter Sorting Hat.
What started as "Mam, can you help me?" somehow turned into me building most of it while she disappeared off to play video games! 🎮😂
To be fair, she did come back and help with the painting in the end.
It's not often I get asked to swap soap moulds and labels for cardboard and glue, but creativity comes in many forms. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out!
The things we do for our children. ❤️
What do you think?
✨ A Fascinating Evening at Kells Printing Works ✨
Tonight I had the pleasure of attending the open evening at the newly restored Kells Printing Works.
It was fascinating to step back in time and see these historic printing presses brought back to life after years of painstaking restoration. From the intricate movable type and original tools to the beautifully preserved ballroom dance posters, every corner told a story of craftsmanship, creativity and local heritage.
The restoration project has brought a nationally significant collection back to life, including a rare 1830s Wharfedale press, similar to those used to print some of Ireland's most important historical documents.
The centre is now opening as Ireland's first dedicated Centre for Typography, offering tours, workshops, demonstrations and hands-on printing experiences.
As someone who values traditional skills, handmade products and the art of making, I found the evening incredibly inspiring. Whether it's letterpress printing, soapmaking, herbalism or any other craft, there is something special about preserving knowledge and passing it on to future generations.
A wonderful addition to Kells and a fantastic celebration of our creative and cultural heritage.
Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this remarkable project to life. 👏

✨ An inspiring afternoon at the Women in Biz & Tech Luncheon in the beautiful Station House Hotel, Kilmessan.
This was my first time attending as Anam & Bláth, and it felt a little different walking through the door under a new banner. Starting over can be daunting, and like many women in business, I've certainly had my moments of questioning myself along the way.
Today's conversations around leadership, balancing business and family life, resilience and imposter syndrome resonated deeply. One reminder that stayed with me was that we don't need to have all the answers — we simply need to keep showing up and trust in our own worth.
A huge thank you to our wonderful speakers ; Michelle Bennet, CEO Boliden Tara Mines and
Pamela Stone, GM Respa for sharing their experiences so openly, and to everyone involved in creating such a welcoming and supportive event. I made some new connections today with lovely like minded people.
A special shout-out to Caroline and the team at the Station House Hotel. It is always lovely to see a familiar friendly face when arriving on your own, and the warmth, professionalism and hospitality of the team never disappoint.
And thank you to Paula McCaul and the Meath Chamber team. These events continue to go from strength to strength and provide such a valuable opportunity for connection, learning and support among women in business.
I left feeling inspired, encouraged and reminded that none of us are doing this alone.

🌸 That's a wrap on Bloom 2026! 🌸
What an incredible five days at Bord Bia Bloom.
As the Meath Made Collective, our eight makers came together to showcase the very best of local creativity, craftsmanship and small business from County Meath.
From the first day of set-up to the final customer today, it has been a truly memorable experience.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Meath Local Enterprise Office for sponsoring and supporting our presence at Bloom. This opportunity has allowed us to introduce thousands of visitors to the talented makers, artists and producers who call Meath home.
Most importantly, thank you to every customer who stopped by our stand, shared a conversation, purchased a product, followed our journey or simply took the time to support local makers. Your encouragement means the world to small businesses like ours.
We've made new connections, met wonderful people and created memories that will stay with us long after Bloom has finished.
