Mizo Child Prodigy Esther Lalduhawmi Hnamte Invited by Mukesh Ambani to Perform for Indian Cricket Teams on 5th January

Aizawl, 27th December, 2025: Esther Lalduhawmi Hnamte, a talented Mizo child artiste and recipient of India’s highest child honour, the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, has been invited by Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries and one of India’s richest individuals, to perform at his residence Antilia in New Delhi on January 5 during an event organised for the Indian men’s and women’s cricket teams.

According to information shared by the Akashvani correspondent, Esther Hnamte’s mother, Pi R. Lalawmpuii, said that they received the invitation from Mukesh Ambani through a telephone call this morning. She added that they have not yet been able to decide whether they will accept the invitation. She also mentioned that Esther Hnamte is expected to sing the song ‘Teri Mitti’ from the film Kesari during the award ceremony.

Esther Hnamte arrived at Lengpui Airport this afternoon around 3 pm along with her guides. She was warmly received at the airport by family members, well-wishers, and leaders of local voluntary organisations from the Lunglei College area, where she resides. According to their plan, she is expected to return to Lunglei tomorrow.

Due to continuous travel and engagements, Esther has not been able to practise much recently; however, she is expected to sing during the programme, as informed by her mentor Pu David Zawma. It was also reported that the popular Indian magazine Femina has already finalised arrangements to feature her photograph on the cover of its January issue.
