If your acrylic spreads all over the brush, your beads are either too wet or too dry, or you’re struggling with placement, it’s time to correct your product pick-up technique.

Here’s the right method:

• Always dip your acrylic brush into the monomer first.
• The monomer level in your dappen dish should be high enough for the brush to absorb the correct amount of liquid.
• Never pick up acrylic powder with a dry brush.
• After removing the excess monomer, lightly touch the surface of the acrylic powder instead of pressing the brush into it.
• A properly formed acrylic bead should sit neatly on the belly of the brush while one side of the brush remains clean. This gives you complete control during application.
