“Personages” published in .magazine ISSUE 43. VOL. 43

The editorial examines how the traditional patriarchal society dealt with the women’s question by converting the image of women into ideals such as nurturers and goddesses, thus placing them within a metaphorical boundary. Intertwined through this exploration is also the key idea of women’s agency. My work portrays womanhood as complex, multifaceted and nuanced, rather than black and white.
