The left side of the picture ( right side of the face) shows the preserved fat pads and young skin while the right side of the picture ( left side of face) shows the effect of ageing with a reduction in the fat pads with consequent facial volume loss and older skin

It’s also a reminder of natural facial movement and highlights the need for your injector to have an excellent knowledge of functional anatomy.

The use of dermal fillers to contour, shape and revolumise the face, and muscle relaxers to reduce fine lines and wrinkles , should ensure that this natural movement is maintained. The treatments should not distort movement resulting in a fixed mannequin-like face.🎭
