While browsing through the internet pages, I came across this article on one of a very popular beauty blog and I was horrified after reading the article because everything was written was incorrect and a big no no! So here's their version which is incorrect (according to me and almost every make up artist and beauty blogger) followed by the correct techniques and information.

2. Now simply grind the dried petals in the blender & seive once or twice or till you get the desired results.

BEETROOT POWDER:
1. Take fresh beetroot. Peel and cut into thin slices.
2. Now dry the slices. You can either dry the slices using a food dehydrator, or in a convection oven on low heat, or you can simply sun dry the slices covered with a net or a muslin cloth to keep the insects/flies away.
3. Grind the dried slices with a powerful food processor or a coffee grinder.
The best way that I have found is to grind the slices with the coffee grinder & grind till the powder starts to accumulate on the cover of the coffee grinder. The powder that accumulates on the cover is very fine & perfect for cosmetic uses.
