It was a post lunch break when I came across this post on Instagram. At first it was difficult to understand and by the time I went through a couple of these posts I understood but couldnt believe that I was watching. How casually was this person mentioning his intentions after spending ₹370 on a biryani and how the conversation was being indulged and enabled by laughter of the host and audience…
Is this what we have come down to ? So much for jokes, viral reels & so called open mindedness ?
It’s high time that we reflect as a society as to where we are heading. This is deeply concerning to me not only as an Indian, as a woman but also as a parent. Is this the kind of environment we wish to raise our children in ?
A couple of skyscrapers don’t define the advancement of a country…. From TV, social media, OTT to basic family conversations… everything needs to change. We need to step back and introspect.
