“When my son, Rohan introduced me to Tanvi, I understood she was his girlfriend. Maybe he was too shy to tell me. But I’m his father–jaanta hu apne bete ko! She was the perfect fit for our family–I remember, the first time we met, she touched my feet. Not just that, she was also so well-spoken! Aise jaise baat karte hee acha lage. I liked her instantly! That day, we all sat together over a good meal, talked, and laughed. Pretty soon, Rohan and Tanvi got married and that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Mai bahut khush tha–we did all the wedding preparations together. In fact, Tanvi’s Dad and I looked for venues together. As we looked around, an employee there came up to us and said, 'I've never seen two fathers-in-law fix a wedding venue together!’ We couldn’t help but laugh. After the wedding, Tanvi moved in with us. Gradually, we’ve become friends–we chat over a cup of tea almost every morning. We both love omelettes, and once in a while, she makes two of them and we sit together talking and eating. In fact, she’s taught me a lot about the internet too–we’ve even made a few videos together! The last few months with Tanvi have been so rewarding. As a father, I can’t help getting emotional about how happy Rohan is with Tanvi. And I finally understand the happiness that a daughter brings into your life–she’s truly the daughter I never had!” 18/02/2023
