The recent CMPL Expo in Mumbai reminded us why we do what we do.

Being part of the Contract Manufacturing & Private Label (CMPL) Expo was a truly energising experience for the Imperial Fragrances team.

As a B2B fragrance and flavour house, we spend our days crafting scent and taste experiences for brands — but events like these bring us face-to-face with the people and ideas that shape the industry. The conversations we had at this expo were genuine, insightful and full of possibility.
We connected with brand owners,
manufacturers and entrepreneurs who are thinking seriously about quality, differentiation and the future of their categories. That’s exactly the kind of dialogue that sharpens our thinking and fuels our craft.

Grateful for every meaningful conversation, every new connection, and every fresh perspective we took home. We’re heading back with renewed energy and exciting ideas for what we’ll create next.

To everyone who stopped by and spoke with us — thank you. This is what industry collaboration looks like at its best. 🙏

💐 ’s from Team 💐

In the world of perfumery, we often say that scent is the strongest trigger of memory and emotion.

And the very first fragrance any of us ever knew — before we could see clearly, before we could speak a single word — was the scent of our mother.

No perfumer in the world, with all the rarest ingredients from Grasse to Kannauj, has ever been able to recreate it. It is the one fragrance that exists beyond formula, beyond technique, beyond art. It simply is — warm, safe, and eternal.

A mother is the original perfumer. She blends patience with sacrifice, love with discipline, softness with strength — and creates something the world has never quite seen before: YOU.
At Imperial Fragrances & Flavours, we spend our days chasing beauty through molecules and ingredients. But today, we pause to honour the most exquisite creation we have ever encountered — a mother’s love.

To every mother, every nurturer, every woman who has held someone together quietly and unconditionally —
🌸 We see you. We celebrate you. We are grateful for you.

Happy Mother’s Day from our entire family at Imperial Fragrances & Flavours Pvt. Ltd.

🌸 Greetings from Team 🌸

As perfumers, we live in the world of the intangible — where invisible molecules tell stories that words often cannot. But Rabindranath Tagore could do both.
He once wrote: “The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough.”
In our craft, every fragrance is built on such fleeting moments — the dew on a mogra at dawn, the earth after the first rain, the sandalwood that lingers long after you’ve left the room. Tagore understood this intimacy between nature and the human soul like no other.
On this Rabindra Jayanti, we bow to the Bard of Bengal — a poet, a philosopher, a Nobel Laureate — who reminded us that beauty is not just seen or heard, but felt deeply, much like a perfume that stirs a memory you didn’t know you had.

May his words continue to inspire us to create with soul, with sensitivity, and with the same reverence for nature that he carried throughout his life. 🌿

Warm wishes from all of us at Imperial Fragrances & Flavours Pvt. Ltd.

🌕 Wishing all my dear colleagues a luminous !

As a perfumer, I think of the Buddha through scent.

He attained enlightenment beneath trees heavy with fragrance — sandalwood smoke curling through forest air, lotus blooming untouched on still water, the earthy warmth of rain on ancient soil.

These are not just ingredients on our palette. They are reminders.

That the most profound things rise from simplicity. That stillness is its own kind of beauty. That a single note — held long enough, felt deeply enough — can awaken something in us. 🪷

On this full moon, may our work carry that same intention: fragrances that do not merely smell beautiful, but make people feel present, peaceful, alive.

To every colleague in this extraordinary craft — may this Purnima illuminate your path. ✨🙏

🌿 Happy , Dear colleagues!

As a perfumer, May 1st hits differently.

The lily of the valley — our beloved muguet — blooms today, and for us it's not just a flower. It's a molecule we've chased for decades, a note that defines elegance, a reminder of why we fell in love with fragrance in the first place.

Today I want to pause the formulas, step away from the organ, and simply breathe.

Because everything we try to bottle? Nature is pouring it freely today — fresh green stems, warm earth, blossoms carried on cool wind. 🌱

To every nose, evaluator, flavorist, supplier, and fragrance lover in this community: thank you for the passion you bring to this beautiful craft. May your work always carry meaning, and may your days — especially today — smell extraordinary. 🌸✨

🌲 : The Backbone of Perfumery

Dry, noble, and architecturally magnificent — cedar is not merely a woody note. It is the forest after rain. Silent. Majestic. Eternal. Crisp yet warm, structured yet sensuous, cedar gives a fragrance its spine — a quiet confidence that holds everything together with effortless grace.
Its presence is like walking through an ancient forest at dusk —
dry, resinous, touched with a pencil-shaving sharpness that grounds rather than dominates.
Cedar does not overwhelm.
It stands.

🌺bougainvillea : Sunlit Veil of Perfumery

Delicate, luminous, and quietly poetic — bougainvillea is more than a floral inspiration.
It is color turned into fragrance.

Airy, radiant, and softly expressive, it brings a sunlit transparency to perfumery that feels graceful and emotionally uplifting.

Its presence is like petals drifting through warm afternoon light — floral, lightly green, and touched with a soft powdery brightness that lingers as an impression rather than a declaration.

It does not overpower.
It enchants.

👃 Olfactive Character
Bougainvillea opens with a sheer burst of floral freshness — petal-soft, airy, and watercolor-like in delicacy.

As it evolves, elegant green nuances emerge, reminiscent of tender leaves, stems, and the crispness of garden air warmed by sunlight.

At the heart lies a refined floral softness with rosy and white-floral transparency, often supported by subtle musky and powdery undertones.

In the dry-down, it melts into soft woods and clean musks, leaving behind the memory of bloom, warmth, and effortless femininity.

🧪 Accord Structure
Often recreated as an accord rather than extracted naturally, it is beautifully built around:
• Linalool
• Hedione
• Phenethyl alcohol
• Green leaf notes
• Ionones
• White musks

💎 Why Perfumers Love It

✨ Final Impression
Bougainvillea reminds perfumery that not every flower needs to announce itself.

Some simply glow.

A note of sunlight on petals.
A note of grace in motion.

🍋 : The Electric Spark of Perfumery
Bright, vivid, and intoxicatingly alive — lemon is not merely a citrus note.

It is the first breath of a perfect morning.
Sharp yet tender, fleeting yet deeply awakening, lemon brings an electric clarity to perfumery that feels both invigorating and effortlessly joyful.

Its presence is like sunlight fractured through crystal —
citrus, slightly herbal, and touched with a zesty bitterness that dances before it fades.
Lemon does not linger.
It electrifies.

There is an electric vitality to its top, like squeezing a sun-warmed fruit over cool water.
As it evolves, its complexity reveals itself.
A subtle green, almost herbal quality emerges — reminiscent of crushed lemon leaves and white pith — adding depth beneath the brightness.
A quiet floral whisper, carried by linalool and citral, softens the sharpness into something elegant and refined.

In the dry-down, lemon’s vivacity gently yields to the notes it accompanies — woods, musks, resins — leaving behind only the memory of radiance.
