FOOD TO EAT

1) unprocessed foods
2) high fiber foods
3) fatty fish, including salmon, tuna, sardines, and mackerel
4) kale, spinach, and other dark, leafy greens
dark red fruits, such as red grapes, blueberries, blackberries, and cherries
5) broccoli and cauliflower
dried beans, lentils, and other legumes
6) healthy fats, such as olive oil and avocados
nuts, including pine nuts, walnuts, almonds, and pistachios
7) dark chocolate in moderation
8)spices, such as turmeric and cinnamon

FOODS TO AVOID

1) refined carbohydrates, such as mass-produced pastries and white bread.
2) fried foods, such as fast food

3) processed meats, such as hot dogs, sausages, and luncheon meats.
solid fats, including margarine, shortening, and lard.
4) A high intake of red meat, such as steaks, hamburgers, and pork.
5) foods with high levels of added salt or sugar
