Sebaceous Cysts
Epidermoid cysts are small bumps that develop just beneath the skin on your face, neck, trunk and sometimes your ge***al area. They are slow-growing and often painless. Although many people refer to epidermoid cysts as sebaceous cysts, true sebaceous cysts are much less common than epidermoid cysts are. Most epidermoid cysts don't cause problems or need treatment. But if they're a cosmetic concern or they rupture or become infected, they're usually surgically removed. Epidermoid cysts are almost always noncancerous, but in rare cases, they can give rise to skin cancers. Because this occurs so seldom, epidermoid cysts usually aren't biopsied unless they have unusual characteristics that suggest a more serious problem.
Treatments of Sebaceous Cysts
Cysts that don't cause cosmetic or functional problems are usually left alone. When a cyst is inflamed, ruptured or infected, these treatment options exist:
Corticosteroid injections. Your doctor may inject an inflamed, but uninfected, epidermoid cyst with a corticosteroid to help reduce the inflammation.
Incision and drainage. In this procedure, your doctor makes a small cut in the cyst and expresses the contents. Although incision and drainage is relatively quick and easy, cysts often recur after this treatment.
Total excision. This surgical technique removes the entire cyst and so prevents recurrence. Excision is most effective when the cyst isn't inflamed. Your doctor may recommend first treating the inflammation with antibiotics, steroids, or incision and drainage and then waiting to perform excision for four to six weeks after inflammation resolves. Total excision requires sutures. Your doctor will remove sutures in your face within a week or so of total cyst excision, and will remove sutures elsewhere in your body within one to two weeks.
Minimal excision. Some doctors prefer this technique because it removes the whole cyst wall but causes minimal if any scarring. During the procedure, your doctor makes a tiny incision in the cyst, expresses the contents, and then removes the cyst wall through the incision. The small wound is usually left to heal naturally.
Lasers. To minimize scarring, your doctor may use a carbon dioxide laser to vaporize an epidermoid cyst on your face or other sensitive area.

Treatments of Bed Bug Bites
When you first notice that a bedbug has bitten you, you should be sure to take care of it like all other insect bites and remember do not itch them. First you will need to wash the bite with warm soapy water to ensure there are no bacteria left on your skin to cause an infection. Then you will need to take a dry clean towel and dab at the area until all of the skin is dry. Once the skin is dry you can then apply anti-itch cream, such as Benadryl and hydrocortisone cream. The creams will help with the itching, swelling, and redness.

Rosacea
Rosacea (ro-ZA-she-uh) is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition that affects adults. It causes redness in your face and produces small, red, pus-filled bumps or pustules. Left untreated, rosacea tends to be progressive, which means it gets worse over time. However, in most people rosacea is cyclic. This means your rosacea signs and symptoms may flare up for a period of weeks to months and then lessen for a while before flaring up again. Besides acne, rosacea can be mistaken for other skin problems, such as skin allergy or eczema. Though rosacea doesn't have a cure, treatments can control and reduce the signs and symptoms. If you experience persistent redness of your face, see your doctor for a diagnosis and proper treatment.
Treatments of Rosacea
Though there's no way to eliminate rosacea altogether, effective treatment can relieve its signs and symptoms. Most often this requires a combination of prescription treatments and certain lifestyle changes on your part. Your doctor also may recommend certain moisturizers, soaps, sunscreens and other products to improve the health of your skin. If hot flashes appear to trigger your rosacea, you might ask your doctor what treatment options are available for the signs and symptoms of menopause.

Pediatric Dentistry
Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry dealing with children from birth through adolescence. This manifests itself in special office designs, different communication styles and an emphasis on teaching preventative dental habits to children in an effort to make dental visits enjoyable.
Pediatric Dentistry places special importance in preventing tooth decay. Studies show that poor oral health care in children can lead to impaired school performance and poor social relationships. Therefore, Pediatric Dentists give advice on how to make teeth strong the importance of developing healthy eating habits and other ways to prevent disease from occurring.
Additionally, Pediatric Dentists work toward the maintenance of primary teeth (baby teeth) until they are naturally lost. This is due to the importance they serve in permitting children to chew properly and therefore maintain good nutrition, their role in speech development, and the maintenance of space for the eventual eruption of the permanent teeth.
The role of the Pediatric Dentist changes as children enter adolescence. Recognizing the growing importance of appearance and self-image in their patients, Pediatric Dentists work to ensure that adolescents’ dental needs are met. Preventative dental health care is emphasized and when necessary information is provided to adolescents about subjects such as wisdom teeth to***co use, sealants and oral piercing.
Pediatric Dentists promote the dental health of children as well as serve as educational resources for parents. It is recommended that a dental visit should occur within six months after the presence of the first tooth or by a child’s first birthday. It is important to establish a Dental Home for a child. This is because early oral examination aids in the detection of the early stages of tooth decay. Early detection is essential to maintain oral health, modify aberrant habits, and treat as needed and as simply as possible. Additionally, parents are given a program of preventative home care (brushing/flossing/fluorides), a caries risk assessment, information on finger, thumb, and pacifier habits, advice on preventing injuries to the mouth and teeth of children, diet counseling, and information on growth and development.
Plastic Surgery - Breast Procedures
Breast Augmentation
Technically known as augmentation mammoplasty, it is a surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of a woman's breast. Breast implants come in two types, silicone and saline. Our goal is to create enhanced and naturally appearing breasts. The incision can be made either in the crease where the breast meets the chest, around the ar**la (the dark skin surrounding the ni**le), in the armpit or umbilicus. The implants can be placed beneath the chest wall muscle or directly behind breast tissue. If your breasts are sagging, your doctor may also recommend a breast lift.
Breast Reduction
Large breasts may be a cause for physical and mental discomfort. The size and weight of large breasts can result in pain in the back and neck, indentations from bra straps, skin rashes, improper posture breathing problems and skeletal deformities. Breast reduction surgery is usually done to provide physical relief from these symptoms. The procedure does leave noticeable, permanent scars, although they'll be covered by your bra or bathing suit. The goal is to give the woman smaller, better-shaped breasts in proportion with the rest of her body Women undergoing breast reduction probably represent the happiest group of patients.
Breast Lift
Over the years, factors such as pregnancy, nursing, and the force of gravity take their toll on a woman's breasts. A breast lift (Mastopexy) is a procedure that lifts the breast, the ni**le, and tightens the skin of the breast. During your consultation, you will be asked whether you like the volume of your breasts when you are wearing a bra. If the answer is “yes”, then a breast lift (mastopexy) alone would be indicated. If you find the volume of you breasts (with a bra on) smaller than desired, then a breast augmentation with a breast lift (mastopexy) would be indicated.
Breast Reconstruction
Imagine the mental state of a female who has been diagnosed with “breast cancer”. The fear of breast removal along with the thought of living with the deformity can send shivers down the spine. New medical techniques have made it possible for plastic surgeons to create a new breast. It can be done simultaneously with breast removal (Mastectomy) or done at a later stage. It is a multistaged procedure. Various options available are:
Using your own tissues
Abdomen: TRAM
Back: Lattissimus dorsi
Using implants
Male Breast Reduction
Gynecomastia literally means “women-like breasts”. It affects an estimated 40 to 60 percent of men. It may affect only one breast or both. The procedure removes fat and/or glandular tissue from the breasts, and in extreme cases removes excess skin, resulting in a contoured chest that is flatter and firmer. If your gynecomastia consists primarily of excessive fatty tissue, only liposuction will be done to remove the excess fat. If there is excess glandular tissue, it may need to be removed along with liposuction.
Correction of Inverted Ni***es
This is a very distressing condition for the young girl. We perform correction of inverted ni**les through a small incision at the base of the ni**le. The ni**le is then maintained in traction for several weeks using a suture taped to the breast.

Plastic Surgery - Eyelids
Blepharoplasty is surgical modification of the eyelid. Excess tissue such as skin and fat are removed or repositioned, and surrounding muscles and tendons may be reinforced. It can be both a functional and cosmetic surgery.
Indications
Blepharoplasty is often done as an elective surgery for cosmetic reasons. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty is almost always done for cosmetic reasons, to improve puffy lower eyelid "bags" and reduce the wrinkling of skin. Asian blepharoplasty or double eyelid surgery is a special type of blepharoplasty that creates a crease in the upper eyelid. This "supratarsal fold" is common in many races but absent in about half of Asians. Surgery can artificially create this crease and make a 'single-lidded' patient appear 'double-lidded'. It is the most popular form of cosmetic surgery among those of east and southeast Asian background.[citation needed]
Blepharoplasty is sometimes needed for functional reasons. When an advanced amount of upper eyelid skin is present, the skin may protrude over the eyelashes and causes a loss of peripheral vision. The outer and upper parts of the visual field are most commonly affected and the condition may cause difficulty with activities such as driving or reading. In this circumstance, upper eyelid blepharoplasty is performed to improve peripheral vision.
Procedure
The fat (yellow tissue) and skin (linear tissue) removed from a quadruple blepharoplasty. Lower-lid fat was removed using the transconjunctival technique.
Blepharoplasty is usually performed through external incisions made along the natural skin lines of the eyelids, such as the creases of the upper lids and below the lashes of the lower lids. Incisions may be made from the inside surface of the lower eyelid (transconjunctival blepharoplasty); this allows removal of lower eyelid fat without an externally-visible scar, but does not allow excess skin to be removed. External skin resurfacing with a chemical peel or carbon dioxide laser may be performed simultaneously. This allows for a faster recovery process.
The operation typically takes one to three hours to complete. Initial swelling and bruising resolve in one to two weeks but at least several months are needed until the final result becomes stable. Blepharoplasty's effects are best appreciated by comparing before and after photos of surgical patients.
The anatomy of the eyelids, skin quality, age, and the adjacent tissue all affect the cosmetic and functional outcomes.
Factors which are known to cause complications include:
dry eyes - which may become exacerbated by disrupting the natural tear film
laxity (looseness) of the lower lid margin (edge) - which predisposes to lower lid malposition
prominence of the eye in relation to the malar (cheek) complex - which predisposes to lower lid malposition

Palmer Notation
The mouth is divided into four sections called quadrants (upper and lower) right quadrant and (upper and lower) left quadrant. The numbers 1 through 8 are used to label each of the teeth in all four quadrants. The numbering runs from the center of the mouth to the back as shown in the image below.

Digital Dental OPG
An OPG which stands for ORTHOPANTOGRAM, gives a panoramic view of the mandible and teeth.
It is performed using a technique called "tomography". The X-ray tube moves around the head, the x-ray film moves in the opposite direction behind your head. This generates an image slice where the mandible and teeth are in focus, and the other structures are blurred.
Anatomy
The anatomy consists of the body, ramus and angle of mandible, coronoid process, mandibular notch, condyle of mandible, alveolar ridge, symphysis menti, maxillary sinuses, nasal fossae and 16 upper and 16 lower teeth, as shown in the image below.

Micro Needling Techniques (Acne/ Scars/ Cellulite/ Rejuvenation)
Skin needling is a non-invasive results orientated technology. This procedure uses a roller with microscopic needles between 0.15mm to 2.0mm long. It is derived from ancient acupuncture techniques. As the needles are rolled over the skin, tiny punctures are created within the epidermis and dermis that encourage the skin's own natural healing response. There are no injections, incisions or stitches. As the medical grade, stainless steel needles pe*****te, they effectively create microscopic trauma deep within the skin's matrix. The skin reacts and tiny electrical signals are released which create a wound healing response. The needles and rolling mechanism are specifically designed to target and pe*****te only sections (or fractions) of the skin each treatment. As a result there is less downtime, less discomfort and an almost immediate outcome. Needling is used to:
Stimulate the production of collagen
Assist in the absorption of cosmetic products
Reduce the appearance of wrinkles, pigmentation and sun damage
Treat acne, pimples and blackheads
Reduce the appearance of scarring, stretch marks and cellulite
Reduce the appearance of enlarged pores
Treat alopecia and encourage the growth of stronger thicker hair.

Plastic Surgery - Scar Revision
Enhancing your appearance with scar revision surgery
Scars are visible signs that remain after a wound has healed. They are unavoidable results of injury or surgery, and their development can be unpredictable. Poor healing may contribute to scars that are obvious, unsightly or disfiguring. Even a wound that heals well can result in a scar that affects your appearance. Scars may be raised or recessed, different in color or texture from surrounding healthy tissue or particularly noticeable due to their size, shape or location.
Your treatment options may vary based on the type and degree of scarring and can include:
Simple topical treatments
Minimally invasive procedures
Surgical revision with advanced techniques in wound closure
Scar revision surgery is meant to minimize the scar so that it is more consistent with your surrounding skin tone and texture.
Although scar revision can provide a more pleasing cosmetic result or improve a scar that has healed poorly, a scar cannot be completely erased.
Is it right for me?
Scar revision is a highly individualized procedure and you should do it for yourself, not to fulfill someone else’s desires or to try to fit any sort of ideal image. Scar revision can be performed on people of any age and is a good option for you if:
You are bothered by a scar anywhere on your body
You are physically healthy
You do not smoke
You have a positive outlook and realistic goals for your scar revision surgery
You do not have active acne or other skin diseases in the area to be treated
