What is psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a skin disease that causes a rash with
itchy, scaly patches, most commonly on the
knees, elbows, trunk and scalp. It can be painful,
interfere with sleep and make it hard to
concentrate. The condition tends to go through
cycles, flaring for a few weeks or months, then
subsiding for a while. Common triggers include
stress, strep infections, injury to the skin, and
certain medications.
When should you consult a doctor?
Consult a doctor if the condition:
& Becomes widespread or severe
Causes you discomfort or pain
Doesn't improve with treatment
Starts impacting your mental health
What can you do to ease psoriasis symptoms?
While psoriasis cannot be cured, here a few ways
to effectively manage mild symptoms at home:
-Prevent dry skin by using a humidifier to keep
the air around you moist. Use a sensitive skin-
friendly moisturiser
-Use aloe vera to reduce irritation and redness
caused by psoriasis
Avoid fragrances
-Eat anti-inflammatory foods like omega-3
fatty acids, nuts like almonds and walnuts, seeds,
kale, spinach, and salmon

'BABY BATH POWDER'
Traditionally 'Ubtan' or bath powder is very common in Indian households. It's nothing but an exfoliating agent applied during or before bath.
When it comes to make a good Baby Bath Powder with simple available ingredients at home, do keep in mind not to experiment much with your little ones delicate skin.
Here's my simple DIY recipe of Baby Bath Powder....
1. Green gram (Moong dal)
2. Split chickpeas (Chana dal)
3. Red lentil (Masoor dal)
4. Split pigeon peas (Tur/Arhar dal)
Take all the above pulses in 2 tbsp quantity each. Grind it to make fine powder. You can also add Wild turmeric or Kasturi Manjal but it's optional.
Variations:
You can also add raw rice and herbs like vetiver, neem etc. If you are adding fancy herbs do check it's efficacy and always remember to do patch test once you make the powder on your baby's skin.
How to use:
Take 2tbsp of this powder and add 1-2 tbsp of fresh Milk cream (Malai)/ Almond /Coconut oil and make a fine paste. Apply this after oil massage on your baby's skin and yes using different strokes while applying this is also important. Once the powder dries or you can just simply rub it off bathe your baby well with luke warm water.
Benefits:
1. It exfoliates the skin and makes it glowing.
2. Nourishes the skin with vitamin A and C.
3. Removes excess hair from skin.

2. Gooseberry / Amla
For Skin:
Well, you must be wondering how can be used on your skin. You can consume it with honey or you can also apply it on your skin directly and reap its benefits. If you are finding it hard to consume this sour fruit, then try making juice out of it and consume it. This will do good for your skin.
1. Anti-Ageing Properties:
As you begin to age, you would always want to look younger and that is one particular phase of growing older. However, who does not want to look young? So, simply just make some amla juice and add some honey to it and drink it. This drink has loads of antioxidants in it that can make your skin look better and beat ageing cells. Vitamin C is found in amla and this aids in glowing skin. Regularly drinking amla juice will prevent premature ageing, fine lines, dark spots and wrinkles.
2. Treats Acne:
You can also make amla paste and apply it over the affected area of your face and leave it to dry for not more than 15 minutes. This will fight pimples, fine lines and reduce scarring done by acne. It is a natural blood purifier that keeps pimples and the after-effects of acne away. Thus, amla juice gives you flawless skin.
3. Good Skin Tone:
High amounts of collagen contents in your skin help in skin firmness and make your skin appear soft. Regular consumption of amla juice boosts vitamin C levels and helps increase the production of collagen level in your skin. This will make your skin look soft and youthful.
4. Treats Skin Pigmentation:
Applying or drinking amla juice is said to cleanse your skin and reduced skin pigmentation. All you need to do is to apply some amla juice onto your face and once this dries, make sure that you use a small piece of cotton and wipe it away. Also, keep your eye closed when you are doing this. Doing this on a regular basis will lighten skin marks and reduce skin pigmentation.
5. Removes Dead Skin Cells:
Amla juice is said to rejuvenate your skin and add an extra layer of skin brightness that will make your skin outshine itself.
