In the silence of the hills and the rhythm of the water,
each note found its place—
and so did I.
A much needed pause for me, and a return to the violin after ages 😇 🎻

Honoured to be part of EDUCON 2026 – “Bridging General Practice & Oncology Care”, organised by the Bombay ‘C’ Ward Medical Association and Bombay Medical Union in association with MOC Cancer Care & Research Centre, Mumbai.
I had the opportunity to contribute to two academic sessions at the conference:
• Panelist – “GI Cancer Detection: The Power of Timely Diagnosis”
Discussing the critical role of early recognition and timely referral by general practitioners in improving outcomes for gastrointestinal cancers.
• Speaker – “Multiple Myeloma: Approach and Updates”
Sharing a practical overview of diagnosis, risk stratification, and modern treatment advances in myeloma, aimed at helping primary care physicians recognise and manage this complex disease earlier.
Conferences like EDUCON play an important role in bridging the gap between primary care and oncology, ensuring patients benefit from earlier diagnosis, multidisciplinary collaboration, and evolving cancer therapies.
Grateful to the organisers and colleagues for an engaging academic exchange.

Many women hesitate to talk about symptoms related to cervical cancer because of fear, stigma, or responsibilities at home. Thoughts like “Log kya kahenge?”, “Baad mein dekh lenge”, or “Treatment mehenga hoga” often delay medical consultation.
Through the Nidar Naari movement, Dr. Arnav Tongaonkar Consultant Medical Oncologist at MOC Cancer Care and Research Centre encourages women to speak openly about their health and not ignore warning signs. Cervical cancer is largely preventable and treatable with early detection and regular screening.
Let’s support and empower women to choose health without hesitation.

We are proudly announcing a unique intiative- Conference on Onco-Fertility and Sexual Health- scheduled on 28th Feb and 1st March 2026, at S. P. Jain Auditorium, Mumbai.
This initiative seeks to highlight the under-recognised domains of sexual health and fertility preservation in patients with urological malignancies. Despite improving oncological outcomes, treatment planning often inadequately addresses the long-term impact on sexual function, reproductive potential, and quality of life. Many of these issues lie within a clinical grey zone, with limited representation in existing guidelines and a lack of robust evidence to guide practice. Through multidisciplinary engagement, this forum aims to stimulate discussion,
identify evidence gaps & foster consensus-driven, patient-tailored management approaches.
We appeal all the Urologists, Uro-Oncologists, Andrologists, Medical Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists and Nephrologists to attend this conference for latest updates around Onco-Fertility and Sexual Health.
MMC Points are available.

निडर नारी, सर्वाइकल कैंसर पे भारी
Nidar Naari is a movement by M|O|C Cancer Care & Research Centre to break the silence around Cervical Health and empower women to speak without fear or shame. It challenges the stigma, fear of diagnosis, treatment costs, and societal pressure that often delay prevention.
A Nidar Naari listens to her body, reports symptoms early, chooses screening with confidence, and encourages HPV vaccination for herself and the next generation. Because cervical cancer is preventable and awareness, timely screening, and open conversations can save lives.
