In the 21st century, it is not only women who wear makeup but also men. It was believed that only women could wear makeup but it has all changed now. These days even men choose to wear makeup and look their absolute best. After all, what is wrong in it? Of course, it is yet to be mainstream in Indian culture but we see it coming.
Male grooming is now a multi-billion dollar industry, thanks to a growing number of men spending more on their appearance. Face wash, moisturizer, pore strips, and hair removal products are now commonly featured in a man's bathroom cabinet and now also, makeup.
Across the globe, men's adoption of beauty use is already starting to take off. But the trend comes in many different shapes and forms. It is a huge opportunity for companies which are struggling for growth and expansion. Recently, men are not just going for haircuts to salons, but for also eyebrow shaping, perms and to have BB creams applied by these artists.
Men like James Charles and Patrick Starr have changed the face and game of makeup for men. They have opened our minds to things we never thought would be possible for men. They have broken the stereotypes and emerged as stronger from them. Even Michael Jackson used makeup as a pop star when it was not mainstream. But beyond these influencers, there are also subtle reasons as to why the general male makeup population is warming up.
They have become more conscious regarding the usage of cosmetics and beauty products in their life to enhance their attractiveness. The increase in the number of educated customers and urbanization has given rise to a corporate lifestyle which has boosted demand for men's personal care products.
Grooming products such as hair care, shampoo and rinses hair gel, hair conditioner, hair sprays, hair cream, hair dyes, and hair colors. Shaving cream, shaving gel, after-shave lotion, and preshave lotion. Face and neck cream, lotion/creams, cleansers, moisturizers, facial makeup, eye makeup, bathing essentials, and natural care.
And this is how the Male Makeup Industry is evolving and growing. We bet it has more in store for us that is yet to unravel.
