YOU WERE BETTER BEFOREโ ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
I donโt think Iโve posted a transformation photo yet where Iโve not had a comment that I was โbetterโ before. Iโve been told that Iโm โtoo muscleyโ now and โless feminineโ since I started resistance training.
Of course in sharing photos online I know that Iโm opening up my physique to criticism, and that itโs human nature for people to compare and make a decision on what they like best - and thatโs okay!
But it literally bloooooows my mind when the word โbetterโ is used for my before photos ๐คฏ because when I think of myself as that person, I feel so much more improved in every way now!
And hereโs why โฌ๏ธ
Iโm healthier, fitter, stronger, more dedicated, more ambitious, more consistent, more energetic, more confident, more balanced and above all else HAPPIER than I was before.
What you see in a photograph doesnโt show the full story. Fitness isnโt just an aesthetic journey. There are so many benefits to resistance training that you canโt see!
So whether or not someone else thinks you looked better before you transformed, forget them! Do this for YOU and YOU only. Someone elseโs opinion canโt change the work youโve put in, and shouldnโt change how you feel about yourself as a result!
Itโs not easy to transform your body, but one of the most amazing things that comes with it is you can literally transform your life in doing so. And thatโs what I define as โbetterโ in my books๐ค
Donโt fear gaining muscles or being less feminine just because thatโs what someone else thinks about resistance training.
Yes I have muscles, but I STILL feel feminine ๐ซ We need to break the stigma that having muscles makes you masculine - it doesnโt. It just makes you a strong AF woman!!!
Iโm so proud of myself for having the dedication to transform into the girl I am now.
I did that. And you can do it for yourself too! ๐ช๐ผ
