Watch your Portions!!
For every roti, there should be 1 bowl full of vegetable and salads in our meals. These are rajma prepared for lunch, and the quantity served is more than 1 small sized roti. If it's a normal veg, adding a bowl of dal will add protein.
Eating more sabzi and salads will ensure you dont overeat carbs I.e. roti. For every another roti, increase intake of veg and salads proportionately.
Believe me you will be full sooner because of fibres and proteins and never overeat.

Diets FAIL! What you need is a lifestyle change!
New Year is round the corner and all of us thinking of getting back to shape, lose the extra pounds we put on during lockdown etc.
If we focus only on 1 aspect, the weight loss journey is bound to fail. It needs a holistic approach and a lifestyle change.
DM me to book a slot and know what works and what does not. Weight management is always personalized approach and never a '1 size fits all'
After all resolutions should be accomplished isn't it :)

What a treat to get a break from kitchen!! Today's dinner by husband - Banana Date mocktail with wholeness of protein.
Add 2 bananas, few seedless dates and 2 scoops of protein and blend it. That's it!!
Was very yummy!!
We experience sugar cravings because we don’t provide sufficient nourishment for our bodies, and it seeks quick energy fixes from carbohydrates and sweeteners.
You feel better for a while but since it's short lived, the next craving hits again and the cycle goes on.
1. Eat Fruits - Fruits also contain sugar but they come with lot of fibres and other nutrients like vitamins and minerals. They satisfy our body's need and fibres help to keep you full.
2 Drink glass of water - Lot of times drinking water is a quick fix for all cravings. I have tried it often and it works!
3. Ensure daily intake of nutritious food - Any kind of craving is our body's way of indicating deficiencies. Eat different colors of fruits and vegetables everyday.
4. No Guilt please - If you happen to eat sweets, dont feel bad or guilty about eating it. It's fine:) Any negative mood, further releases Seratonin (regulates mood, appetite, memory and social behavior) in our body which make us eat more!! We can boost our serotonin levels through diet, exercise, adequate consistent sleep, and supplements.
Hope this helps. DM me to know more on this.

Happy Diwali!! Diwali for kids is their vacation, fun, travel and eating lot of good food. They never worry about eating too much and that's how we should be! If we always worry about what we are eating and how much we are eating, our worries impact us more than the food we eat. Eating in moderation is the way to go and enjoy the festival without any guilt:)

Every cell, tissue or organ needs water to function properly.
What are the signs that you are not having proper water intake?
- Feeling thirsty: Thirst is a sign that your body is in fire-fighting situation. Never wait till you actually feel thirsty.
- Urine color: Urine turning to darker shades of yellow is another sign that you dont have adequate water.
Tips to track water intake:
Keep a personal 1lit bottle with you at all times and track the water intake by number bottles you finish in a day.
Even when you feel an urge to snack or eat something, try having a glass of water and you dont feel hungry anymore!! It was probably thirst and not hunger and you just saved some unnecessary calorie intake :) :)
