*CEO Bandipora Takes Stock of* *Academic Progress and* *Institutional Needs at PM SHRI* *HSS Quilmuqam*

HSS Quilmuqam, 25 June 2026: *Worthy Chief Education Officer* (CEO) Bandipora, Mr. Rafiq Ahmad Mir, paid an official visit to PM SHRI Higher Secondary School Quilmuqam today. During the visit, he interacted with members of the staff and students and reviewed the overall functioning of the institution.
The CEO personally attended and conducted classroom sessions in line with the learner-centric approach envisaged under NEP 2020. He appreciated the academic atmosphere, student participation, and the efforts being made by the school administration and staff for effective implementation of educational initiatives.
During a meeting with the Principal, various developmental issues concerning the institution were discussed. The Principal highlighted the acute shortage of accommodation and infrastructural constraints faced by the school. He requested the CEO to take up the matter of auction and removal of the unsafe school building with the higher authorities so that the available space could be utilized for addressing accommodation needs.
The Principal also raised the issue of the school playground, which is presently on rented land. He requested that the matter be pursued with the Revenue Department for its purchase, as the landowner has already expressed consent to sell the land for school purposes.
The CEO expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the institution and assured that the genuine issues projected by the school would be taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate consideration.
