Today, I went for a job interview. I’ve been jobless for the past few months, with nothing to do and no opportunities around. I thought it’s better to do something rather than sit idle. I saw a job opening for a salesman and decided to go for it. When I reached there, they asked me for my documents, which I provided. Then they requested my qualification certificates, police verification, and even a freshly printed Aadhaar card. , they mentioned the working hours—9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.—with a salary of only ₹10,000. I was shocked. I’ve completed my graduation, double post-graduation, double computer diploma, and a one-year course in stenography and typing. Offering such long hours and such a low salary to someone qualified feels like open exploitation
