Oily scalp by Day 2?
Here are 2 dermatologist-approved hacks that can help between wash days. 👩⚕️✨
✔️ Dry shampoo helps absorb excess oil and adds volume when your scalp starts looking greasy.
✔️ Micellar water on the scalp can be a quick refresh for the hairline and parting, helping lift sweat, oil, and product buildup without a full wash.
These are temporary fixes—not replacements for a healthy scalp care routine. If your scalp is persistently oily, itchy, or flaky, it may be worth identifying the underlying cause rather than masking the symptoms.

What if we looked at skincare the way we look at a documentary? 🎬
Behind every “miracle” ingredient, luxury price tag, and viral trend is a marketing strategy designed to make you buy. That doesn’t mean every product is bad—but it does mean every claim deserves a closer look.
As a dermatologist, my job isn’t to sell you more skincare. It’s to help you understand what actually has evidence behind it, what is just clever branding, and how to make informed choices for your skin.
This series is all about separating science from marketing—because healthy skin starts with facts, not fear.
💬 What’s the biggest skincare claim you’ve believed or still wonder about? Drop it in the comments—I might cover it next.

Glutathione is one of the most talked-about antioxidants in skincare—but it’s often misunderstood.
Here’s the truth: Glutathione is not a magic skin-lightening ingredient. It works by helping reduce oxidative stress and supporting your body’s natural antioxidant defenses. While some people may notice changes in skin brightness over time, results are highly variable and the evidence for skin lightening is still limited.
Healthy, glowing skin doesn’t come from one supplement alone.
For the best results, focus on the basics:
✨ Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen
✨ A consistent skincare routine
✨ A balanced diet rich in antioxidants
✨ Good sleep and stress management
✨ Professional guidance before starting any supplements
Think of glutathione as one piece of the puzzle—not the entire solution.

✨ Is there a “right age” to start Laser Hair Reduction?
The short answer is no.
There isn’t one fixed age that’s right for everyone. The ideal time depends on factors like your hormonal status, hair growth pattern, and the underlying cause of excess hair.
In general, dermatologists often consider starting Laser Hair Reduction around 2–3 years after puberty, when hormonal changes are relatively more stable. However, this is only a general guideline—not a rule.
If a young girl has excessive or unusual hair growth, she should first be evaluated by a dermatologist. In some cases, further assessment for hormonal conditions (such as PMOS or other causes of hirsutism) may be needed before starting treatment.
💡 The right age isn’t based on your birthday—it’s based on a proper medical assessment.

🧴✨ Your skin barrier is your skin’s natural shield — and harsh cleansers can slowly damage it.
Many people think that squeaky-clean skin means healthy skin, but that tight, dry feeling after washing is often a sign that your skin is losing essential moisture. 💧
A gentle cleanser removes dirt, excess oil, sunscreen, and impurities without stripping away the skin’s natural protective barrier. 🌿 This helps maintain hydration, reduce irritation, and keep your skin balanced over time.
Whether you’re dealing with dryness, sensitivity, acne, redness, or simply want healthier skin, start with the basics: choose a cleanser that cleans effectively while respecting your skin. 🤍
Healthy skin doesn’t need harsh cleansing. It needs gentle, consistent care. ✨👩⚕️
💡 Dermatologist Tip: Your cleanser should leave your skin feeling clean and comfortable — not tight, dry, or irritate
