The Roman Baths
Bath is a small city but it has an interesting and ancient history that started with 2000-year-old Roman-built baths. It is a center of the county Somerset and it lies in a beautiful valley of the Avon River. What is more, there is plenty of perfectly preserved Georgian buildings that granted Bath a World Heritage Site status.
Roman Baths- they were built in 1 century BC together with a Temple of Sulis Minerva. They are one of the finest examples of Roman architecture remaining in England. The water of the bath contains 43 different minerals and has a warm temperature of 115°F.
Georgian Architecture- Bath is definitely one of the hotspots of well preserved Georgian architecture. Queen Square and Gay Street are famous for its beautifully symmetrical façades dating from the early 18th century.
Thermae Bath Spa- located across the street from the Roman Baths and offer you a great spa experience. New Royal Bath is a new modern glass-faced structure located in original Georgian-era buildings and offers a stunning open-air rooftop swimming pool plus an indoor pool and two thermal baths.
