Eva and Ezza Tales : We went to the park “fourgether”

My lively 4-year-old, Ezza, returned to her daycare haven after a 1.5-month hiatus, eager to reunite with her favorite Mah aunty. While I relished the solitude during her break, there was an undeniable void that only her constant chatter could fill, and I eagerly anticipated welcoming her back home.

As I immersed myself in work, the sweet melody of her tiny feet’s excited patter reached my ears. Her screams of “Mamma..mamma” resonated through the house as she joyfully sprinted into my arms. The reunion was filled with tight hugs and playful squeezes, a moment of pure, unadulterated joy as I embraced my little fireball once again.

After gently placing her down, I encouraged her to share the tales of her day. With uncontainable excitement, Ezza launched into her recount.

Ezza: “ Mamma, we went to the park together... NO (she shook her head)... threegether.. (quickly put her palm on her forehead, shaking her head)... fourgether. We went to the park fourgether - Me, Shaupak, Shikha, and Mah aunty. We had lots of fun! the park... blah blah!!!”

Laughter erupted, echoing through the walls as I realized my counting lessons had taken an unexpectedly creative turn.

Ezza, a bit miffed at my amusement, insisted, “Mamma, listen to me.”

Undeterred, she continued weaving her tale, recounting the sheer delight of being FOURGETHER at the park. And so, the day unfolded with the unique charm that only a 4-year-old’s perspective could bring.
