The image displays a beautiful Hibiscus syriacus, commonly known as the Rose of Sharon or Shrub Althea.
This hardy, deciduous shrub is known for its showy, hollyhock-like flowers that bloom from early summer to fall.
The flowers typically have five petals and come in various colors, including white, red, purple, mauve, violet, or blue, and can also be bicolored with a different colored throat.
While often called the Rose of Sharon, it is not a true rose but a species of hibiscus.
Hibiscus syriacus is also recognized as the national flower of South Korea.
