فحص الهولتر هو فحص يتم إجراؤه بواسطة جهاز صغير نقّال يتم تحميله للمريض، ويُعد فحص الهولتر فحصًا منتشرًا من أجل تشخيص الاضطرابات في كهربائية القلب في مرحلة مبكرة، أو حتى توقف النشاط الكهربائي في القلب.
متى يتم إجراء الفحص؟

١-إذا كان يشكو المريض من شعوره بالخفقان (Palpitations)، ولا يتمكن فحص التخطيط الكهربائي العادي من تشخيص المشكلة.
٢-اذا كان يعاني المريض من حالات الإغماء،(syncope )أو الحالات القريبة من الإغماء،.(presyncope )
٣-انخفاض ضغط الدم الشديد وبشكل متكرر
٤-عدم انتظام ضربات القلب
