Examples of Rogue Taxidermy 10/05/2017

This album contains examples of Rogue Taxidermy created by various artists. One of the purposes of this FaceBook page is to educate people about how diverse Rogue Taxidermy actually is and what materials the genre encompasses. Rogue Taxidermy is not always taxidermy. It can be made out of completely synthetic materials, it can be abstract, and sometimes it doesn't even take the form of an animal. Rogue Taxidermy is not defined merely as fictional hybrid animals or anthropomorphic animals as some mainstream media sources lead people to believe. Please continue to the comment box under this album for a comprehensive definition of the term and the history of the Rogue Taxidermy art movement.

Animals Leave Their Skeletons Behind In Stunning Dark Drawings By Paul Jackson 06/07/2015

Animals Leave Their Skeletons Behind In Stunning Dark Drawings By Paul Jackson Paul Jackson, a British artist based in Toronto, creates stunningly detailed and dark pen-and-pencil drawings of various animals with their skeletons and sometimes organs lifting out of their bodies. By treating them with respect, the pictures of their insides look more like mystical anatomy lessons…

P. Kuhlii articulated in flying pose. Now I'm going to build a case for it.

Tiniest of my skulls (so far 😉). Newborn bat, P. kuhlii, unluckily fallen from a colony. Sorry for bad pics, I don't have a macro so I had to shot trough a magnifier glass 😁. It lacks its mandibula (and something else) but the upper jaw still has micro needlelike teeth and its zygomatic arcs are intact.

Bat-02 (Pipistrellus kuhlii) almost done! Should I articulate it in a flying or in a hanging pose?

My brother found this incredibly perfect spontaneous mummy. Probably the cat died under some hot water pipes that dried its body. I named it Tut.
