Bluefields Organic Farm sharing Jamaican fruits, herbs and vegetable insights 🍉🌴" A warm welcome awaits you.
Bluefields Organic Farm is approximately 2 1/3 acres of a wide variety of tropical and exotic grown fruits, herbs and vegetables. It's geared at preserving the environment and providing valuable agricultural information to the public in a fun-filled way.
A HARVEST OF GRATITUDE!
Rachel Stevens and her family turned their working vacation at Bluefields Organic Farm into an opportunity to help when we needed it most.
From papaya planting to coconut seedlings and other recovery activities, they didn't wait until we were ready. They came to help us get ready!
Today, some of the papayas they helped plant are ready for harvesting.
Thanks to Rachel and her family for their generosity, time and willingness to make a difference. They helped us plant hope and today we are beginning to harvest the rewards!
Have you ever planted something for someone else, knowing you might not be there to enjoy the harvest?

Ten months after Hurricane Melissa devastated our farm, this lone sweetsop feels especially precious.
Before the hurricane, harvesting fruits like this was routine. Today, every fruit is a reminder of nature's incredible ability to recover.
One tree. One fruit. One step at a time.
What do you call this fruit in your country or community?

A quick look at some of the many things that fascinated me at Dembigh 2026. Every display reminded me that agriculture is constantly evolving—from renewable energy and value-added processing to smarter farming practices and improved livestock.

A heartfelt thank you to our friends in the neighbouring parish of St. Elizabeth for this generous donation of mangoes. Laurette Wedderburn
In a typical summer, Bluefields Bay area would be blessed with an abundance of mangoes and other fruits. This year, however, Hurricane Melissa changed that reality, leaving many fruit trees damaged and our harvest much smaller than usual.
This thoughtful gift reminds us that when one community faces hardship, another can help lift it up.
At Bluefields Organic Farm, we continue to rebuild, replant, and recover—one season, one harvest, and one act of kindness at a time.
📖 As I share in Give Thanks For Life, gratitude shines brightest during life's most difficult seasons.

8 Months After Hurricane Melissa...
One banana tree survived the storm at Bluefields Organic Farm and is now bearing fruit. A beautiful sign that life can flourish again.
However, just a few miles away in Retrieve, Westmoreland, zinc sheets are still wrapped around power lines eight months later.
Two images. Two reminders. One story of hope and unfinished recovery.
Give Thanks For Life is more than a book about a hurricane. It is a story of resilience, gratitude, and rebuilding.
