Our Story

In May 1989, a 25 -year-old Roxanna Bailey migrated to Siloah, St. Elizabeth in Jamaica as a sole entrepreneur where she started and operated a Beauty salon. The services offered are hair and nail care. Months later the business had grown and she was able to employ young people to undertake some of the tasks. Roxanna saw the need for training and empowering people, hence she started offering hairdressing classes to persons who were interested to learn a skill. Mrs. Bailey Black loved hair dressing so much and was in zest for knowledge, so she went on to study further, cosmetology level two H.E. A. R. T., beauty services (hair, skin and nail care), Instructor Diploma at the Vocational Training and Development Institute, Entrepreneurship, University of Miami in collaboration with University of technology. She went on further to read for her Bachelor’s Degree in Education at the Catholic College of Mandeville

Being a successful entrepreneur and the garnering of knowledge Mrs. Bailey - Black decided to open a second store, and hence Ultimate Beauty Salon & Day Spa was born January 2008 at 7a Manifest Court Plaza, Santa Cruz in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Here we offer services in Hair, Skin and Nail care.

Mrs.Roxanna Bailey – Black has taught Cosmetology and Entrepreneurship at the Black River High School, Black River, St. Elizabeth in Jamaica and was also a lecturer for Cosmetology and Beauty services at the HEART Trust/NTA Southwest TVET Institute, Junction, St. Elizabeth in Jamaica
