A Leave in conditioner is used to moisturize /soften natural hair making it more manageable. This prevents dryness which cause breakage.... Never comb your hair when dry, instead apply a leave conditioner then go ahead and comb it using a wide toothed comb... Genes are responsible for hair growth, texture and volume but not to length retention.... Growth is natural and everyones hair grows... What happens is that people don't retain length that's why they have stagnated hair length.... I hope you get the logic.... Personally I don't have good genes but my hair is this long.... To retain length, avoid overuse of heat on your hair, use the right hair products and avoid combing your hair when it's dry... Also avoid too tight hair styles.it is that simple
