how do I choose who is best to pierce my ears?
since 1969, piercing pagoda has safely pierced over 20 million pairs of ears.all piercing pagoda associates are thoroughly trained in ear piercing procedures.

is the ear piercing system used by piercing pagoda safe?
yes! the system is 100% safe. the earrings are sterilized and stored in capsules. all piercing earrings sold by piercing pagoda are either hypoallergenic or have nickel content that is less than half of 1% total, which significantly reduces the risk of allergic reaction.

doesn't ear piercing hurt?
ear piercing is fast and very gentle. most people feel no discomfort during the piercing.

will I be able to leave the earrings out without the hole closing?
some people assume earrings can be removed and easily re-inserted; this is not the case. You should only switch into new earrings after the healing period, which is 4-6 weeks for an earlobe piercing and 8-12 weeks for a cartilage piercing.

is it safe to pierce infants and children?
yes. pagoda does recommend, however, that babies have a current D.P.T. shot. the first D.P.T. shot is usually administered by a pediatrician at 8 weeks of age.

how long does it take for an ear piercing to heal?
we recommend that the piercing earrings are left in for 4-6 weeks after an earlobe piercing and 8-12 weeks for a cartilage piercing.

how is the cartilage different from the earlobe?
cartilage is the translucent, elastic tissue located in the upper portion of the ear. think of the cartilage area as two separate sections - the skin covering the cartilage and the cartilage itself. cartilage differs from the earlobe primarily in that it has a limited blood supply.

is a cartilage piercing as gentle as a lobe piercing?
yes. with the system used by piercing pagoda, cartilage ear piercing is just as gentle as a lobe piercing.

what is the age limit for ear piercing?
minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

what does it cost for ear piercing?
free ear piercing is provided to our customers with an in-store purchase of piercing earrings. there is an additional $2.00 charge for cartilage piercing, available only in select stores.
