Ladies can we talk about contraceptives and the side effects that comes with it, what side effects did u experience?

HSG TEST
Hysterosalpingography, or HSG, is an X-ray test to outline the internal shape of the uterus and show whether the fallopian tubes are blocked. In HSG, a thin tube is threaded through the va**na and cervix. A substance known as contrast material is injected into the uterus.

Mild pain or discomfort is common with an HSG, both during the procedure and afterward. You may feel cramping when your provider inserts the dye solution into your uterus. You may experience more cramping when your tubes are blocked. The cramping may last anywhere from five minutes after your procedure to a few hours.

Studies have shown that there is up to 30% increased pregnancy rates for the first 3 months after an HSG for couples with unexplained infertility. It is presumed that the dye itself flushes out debris (also known as “tubal goo”) and if that was all that was preventing pregnancy, you conceive within 3 months.

It is best to have HSG done in the first half of the menstrual cycle (days 1 to 14). This timing reduces the chance that you may be pregnant. During HSG, a contrast agent is placed in the uterus and fallopian tubes.

S*X DURING PREGNANCY

S*x during pregnancy is not compulsory! There is no medical evidence that says if a pregnant woman fails to have s*x during pregnancy, something will happen to developing baby! Having no s*x during pregnancy doesn’t stop the growth or development of baby!

There are some pregnant women whose their husbands are not around during their gestational period and they had a wonderful delivery!

Having no s*x during pregnancy doesn’t mean you won’t give birth normal baby! How does s*x contribute to pregnancy? The s***m cells don’t pass beyond the va**na cavity! The cervix is already closed and this is how it will be till baby is delivered!
